Seeing the possibility that 6330 could be the first bus to be painted into the newest fleet livery.
I might aswell start the new thread for when these repaints happen so it does not get mixed up with the 2019 Livery thread.
Really was not expecting them to repaint the 2017 Angel Streetdecks in the 2026 Fleet Livery but hopefully this new fleet livery doesn't look bad on the ADL's when their time comes for a repaint whenever that may be

6330 has been repainted into the 2026 livery, the first vehicle to do so

It's also had its seats re-trimmed with the same moquette as the new examples.

Intresting move, At least it gives a refresh after 9 years of being the Leather Seats and those headrests no longer have an outdated logo
Will be nice when the X-Lines get done they won't keep the gold leather when they get retrimmed if thats what they are doing for all the buses going into the 2026 Livery.
Also not related to your reply but might aswell type it out whilst I thought of it, I do wonder what the plan is for the more newer vehicles in the 2019 livery such as the ADL Enviro 200MMCs? Surely they will eventully get "Adapted" into the 2026 Livery?
Find it strange that a 2017 Vehicle gets the treatment and newest repaint but a vehicle such as 5488 which is a 2019 Vehicle only gets the 2019 livery despite being the newer bus to the Streetdeck and was the most recent 200MMC to be repainted out of the whole batch.
It's possible that they only have the design plan for the double decker for the 2026 livery. Come to think of it, would the 2026 livery work on the single decker as most of the design is between decks.
I think this is the first time it’s struck me how much the Green Angel logo dates a vehicle, even the new Angel design looks outdated compared to fleet livery

Oh very nice. Thought it would of been a much longer wait until those Angels got done up seeing as 6330 was at Washington, Oh well at least they are starting to work on them now

Unsure if this one has had an internal refurb. A comment on Facebook suggusts its been rushed back into service due to 'bus shortages'
Its not like Consett still have 5 Gen 1 B9s sitting withdrawn?
Surely if your short you would reinstate what you have to combat the issue
Also worth noting 6337 is missing its front panel and ticket machine. Despite being off the road for nearly a year and a engine change this bus has spent more time off the road than on since joining from EYMS

From how quick it went from in service to repaint to in service again, I would guess that it hasnt. 6330 did take a little longer to get back on the road

Can confirm this is not the case and the name has been removed.

Regardless whichever it is. Really suprised they are doing the Red Kites this quick.
Because of how they are floating about I thought they would of been one of the last to be done up.
Given there age I'd say 2019 Varient
Little Edit: Looking at GNEs Website for the 2019 and 2026 Livery. The 2026 livery has a slight lighter blue to it to the 2019 and 6043 has the brighter look thats displayed on the other 2026 Livery vehicles so its possible it actually could be the 2026 Livery its been put in

The seats were retrimmed a few years back i suppose and the bus is nearly 15 years old.
Does look very smart, not sure how long this one will last though.

Probably has a good 4/5 years left in it. They let the B7TLs go on for 20 years.
Also I would guess when it comes to the remaining East Gateshead Riders IF they go onto the 2026 Livery they will most likely get the retrim as it has been with the Go Seats since arrival.
Not related to the Gemini but might aswell post. I was browsing timetables on Ebay and did see that the North Tyneside 35* timetable has a design for a Single Decker in the 2026 livery. Unfortunatly it does not show the rear part however it does have text on the black pannel (where they normally put place names for branding). Which I guess from the look of it, it says what they have on the rear "We're all about the North East".
Its confusing this new livery with them repainting 6043 in this livery but a much newer vehicle like the Daimler Streetlite is still getting the 2019 livery applied to it.
