When I went to London last week, I was onboard the 202, these buses have the alternative type of Streetdeck bodywork to 9119. The chassis were B5LHs, and they are just like sitting in an Angel B5LH, just with a better body, I also tried out Go North East's Streetdeck type on the 122, the B5LHs, unusually are better, pointing out the issues with Streetdecks

I had a ride on a brand new Euro 6 London United B5LH back last year on the 285 and I find them a lot different to the Euro 5 B5LHs.

The Bodywork of course

The D5K? is a lot quieter than the Euro 5s, and have this slight ticking noise when accelerating.

The ride is a lot smoother than Euro 5s

Though the Streetdeck your talking about is a long term Demonstrator for Go Ahead ( 9119s London sister ) and one of the first built ( Only the Brighton Batch beat it )
and so comes with the Demonstrator niggles.

Most London drivers are really impatient and I understand why they are because they spend most of their time at a standstill especially on Central London Routes.

I was in London on Thursday and could tell the drivers frustration with being at a standstill or crawling for most of the route ( Route 63 Honor-Oak-Kings Cross ) On the limited space he had to accelerate -
He put his foot to the floor.

Anyways did you make TFL or Go Ahead London General aware of this? If this is the route 19 I'm thinking of its operated by London General?

I used the 63 daily when I was there because I stayed on Kings Cross Road in the Holiday Inn next to Mount Pleasant. They are normally OK but I had an idiot driving a President that I had on Monday taking me to Kings Cross to come home. Never has a President gone as fast.

My dad complained to TFL, you are thinking of the correct 19.

We will have to wait and see won't we, all depends on which service it is allocated to.
Anyone have any details for new vehicles entering service in London, and which services they are to be allocated to, so I can keep an eye whilst I am there on the 28th January.

Also came up with a rough plan for where I am going to go around London.

And now established that 13 of the displaced Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles are staying in the Go-Ahead empire, but bound for the North East.

The entire batch is now at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn, undergoing repaint and refurbishment prior to assimilation into Go North East's fleet.

Definitely won't be doing this! I'd rather walk than do a sight-seeing bus. Will be interesting how it catches on with tourists...

Dozens Of London Bus Routes Could Be Shortened, Or Withdrawn Altogether

A number of London bus routes could be shortened — or withdrawn altogether — if 'modernisation' plans by TfL go ahead.

33 bus routes are included in TfL's major network shake-up proposals, which are now subject to a public consultation. Most of the bus routes potentially affected travel through central London, where, TfL claims, demand for buses has dropped by 12% in the last three years. Some roads in central London, such as Kingsway in Holborn, are now served by more than 100 buses an hour, many of which, claims TfL, are significantly underused.
