Also im not sure coaches run the 470 id say from past occasions that yellow taxi thing appears upon the route

Oops, I've somehow mixed up the 470 with the Newcastle 710 service.

it is due to be withdrawn just glen valley are waiting to find an acceptable replacement first
just saw glenvalleys NA52 NJV operating a service 20 to rothbury from wooler. I never knew they had a service that goes there
For some bizarre reason it wasn't noted at the time, but back in May this year GVT acquired a new VDL reg YK16SRV.

Love the look of VDL coaches, but it looks strange in green!

Completely agree, quite a peculiar colour.

These are great little buses that never stop we have ran them for the last 4years and have only needed to be recovered 3 times don't think there is many company's that will be that reliable. The seats are clean and tidy and in damaged would like to know why you think they are tatty? Also why you thought the back end looked  a disgrace?

I agree glen valley offer a good service with a different range of vehicle from a 51 reg plaxton beaver to a 66 reg coach. yes certain buses could do with a freshen up however everyone need to think that they are lucky that the bus turns up and takes you place where they could stop the services and leave you abandoned where you may be.

Will either of them be replaced in the near future?

well I know YJ54 UXH replaced NA52 NJX off the 464. one of the drivers said that they are looking for a suitable replacement for NA52 NJV

Yes but that's not what I meant, both are still in active service.

Njx and Njv will remain in service until the end of the contracts. They might be a little older but they go for ever we all prefer them to drive over our 60 plate SR

even if glen valley get new buses NJX/V will remain as spare

How on earth could you possibly know that? I doubt that would happen, keeping two extra buses spare would cost a lot of money that the company could save and invest elsewhere.

they got YJ54 UXH and both are still here but saying that I haven't seen YN03 ZWV and if another bus comes it will probably replace KP51 UFD  as it is not DDA compliant

Both of the Alero's are gone I think which is why NJX/V are still here. YJ54UXH replaced those.

Yn03 has left the fleet. One of the solos will remain as a spare but not sure until next year.

Hopefully Glen Valley keep the contracts when they end.

I hope they do to as they have been doing a exceptional job.
Can't wait till the vdl gets back from Moselys there was a problem with the paint so haven't seen the new Glen valley livery that is supposed to be going on. All the tour coaches are going to be in this colour eventual.

Are you able to provide a fleet update? The one on here is probably due a one. I've noticed H15GVT is up for sale.

Thought it is worth mentioning that after Christmas and new year glenvalley are going to have an Enviro 200mmc and wright streetlite on trial. they are due about late January.

Check out the link! Amazing new livery!
there has been major delays on the 464 today a bad accident occurred near the entrance to wooler road is still shut
Glenvalley have purchased a Mercedes sitcar (YJ10 JYL) which is going to replace Plaxton Beaver KP51 UFD to be sold on. one of the drivers on 470 said that he has had to spend a day being trained on the bus. he didn't give me date.
New addition to the fleet is an unregistered 14.3meter Neoplan tri axle! Going into the work shop over the next couple of week to get all its extras fitted!
Extra led lights front, back and sides
Curb lighting along nearside
Wifi
Hubs and brake calipers painted green
Coach wash system so there's never a reason for a dirty coach
And USB charging sockets to every seat.

Have the Enviro 200MMC and Streetlite arrived or is there a revised date for the vehicles going on trial?

I am going to ask david on Monday as he was the lad that mentioned it and the trials have been arranged by the council not by glenvalley. I would emagine that it will be around april or may time as that is when the wooler route get retenders
