As mentioned in the PCL thread, Glen Valley are loosing the 470/473 to PCL Travel, and the 267/464 to someone else but I can't remember who, should have took a photo of the poster. Sorry!
But they are keeping the 710 (unless that is commercial anyway)

Registration H10GVT is now on an Orange coloured Vanhool Alizee bodied Volvo.

Will Glen Valley be taking the Versas from PCL? Or will they get some Optare Solos?

It's contracted for 33 seats so I doubt it. They will probably source some Solos from somewhere.

Will the service continue to go to Sainsbury's at Alnwick or will it revert back to it's original termination point at Alnwick Bus Station?
Has anyone heard or know any information on what buses have been purchased by glenvalley for the 470/473 ?
Yesterday the 11.00 710 at gosforth high street went past me when I was signalling for it to stop. The driver was too busy overtaking a cyclist.

Do they still have the Plaxton Beaver and the 54 plate Solo?

Both gone as far as I'm aware, remember seeing the 54 plate Solo being advertised for sale shortly after the Wooler services passed to Borders and PCL.
Unsure if they still have the 60 plate Solo SR or not.

They do still run the 266...
GVT have sourced 2 Solos for the 470 & 473. YJ60KHK is one and the other is an UID 06/56 plate. Interesting that they've been allowed to run such old vehicles when PCL and Borders Buses were forced into buying 13 plate Versas when they first took the contracts on.

Don't think they were forced as they rarely use/used them.
Pictures of the new Solos are on Glen Valley Tours Facebook. They also have Route Branding with one for the 470, and one for the 473. By the sounds of it Glen Valley are delighted to have regained this contract.
