Yea I think it might just be a glitch as I can't see any changes to the service. It's just strange how it's all the Newcastle and North Tyneside routes

GCT only operate 2 single journeys on the 553, one early morning and one early evening. All the other turns on the 553 are still Arriva and I assume they are still using the stop inside the hospital grounds. Will try to check this out tomorrow.
Arriva have a specific contract with the NHS to run the 553 into the grounds but GCT don't

- 17:15 592 to Roker
- 17:15 593 to Pallion
I hope GCT's expansion and award of the contract to operate service 6 has not come at the detriment of its other contracts!

The bus operating the 6 was the bus that was on M71
Gct are on a thin brach with Nexus and VOSA they have been warned many times. Missing service buses along other. Wouldn't be surprised they get shut down if anymore stuff happens

I spotted YX20 OCN out on the W1 before 10am, yet I had it on the 552 at 16:15. Would be interested to know whether they dumped the later W1/W1A trips to run the 552!

Yeah there's quite a few still not showing location data on tracking websites. It's not hard to do really, albeit there is a financial burden, but as it's a legal requirement then it falls into the same category as other things you should be spending on. Plus it comes in useful for passengers, after all!

YX20OCN operates 552, then drops onto W1 at 09:05 (Earsdon Grange). At 15:25 ( Whitley Bay Metro) it drops out, then operates 552.
SG19HOA operates W1 from 07:30-08:53, then operates service 6, which then drops onto W1 at 15:30 until 18:25.
THIS ARRANGEMENT IS AGREED WITH NEXUS, as they wanted a larger bus on 552.
553 06:53 from Wallsend is operated by YX20OCM, then onto W1A at 07:35.
553 16:46 from Freeman Hospital is operated by a Merc Strata off 84/84A.

Saw an MMC at Gosforth yesterday when I was on the X30 but didn't see the route anyone know wgar ot would be, looked like it was heading towards the freeman.
Also an MMC was on the 73/37 yesterday

Noted that neither journey on the 593 operated on Thursday, or, at least, did not make it as far as Pallion.
Like I said the other day. There walking on a thin branch and they don't care. Wouldn't be surprised vosa shut them down
