Not sure if this is the right place to raise this, but I was wondering (as are others) whether Newcastle's Hybrids (12061-86) are prone to catching fire? Manchester's 12049 is the latest of a long line of hybrids caught on camera by the Manchester Evening News. It caught fire in Manchester city centre this morning. Another one of the same batch caught fire a few weeks ago near Sharston depot, and yet another one (12055) is still VOR after a fire. Someone on another forum has stated that during his time at Stagecoach Manchester, no less than 13 of the 10/60 regs caught fire, but only one newer one. However, I do recall '62 reg 12199 being off the road for a while following fire damage, and '13 reg 12214 is the only example to have actually been so seriously damaged it was written off. In saying tha, I think one of these two was an arson attack.

Of course, whatever the actual facts, it is working into the cycling lobby's campaign to ban buses from Manchester city centre, and various comments about how buses are the prime cause of pollution in a city served by numerous 25-30 year old diesel trains.
Not heard of any Newcastles Hybrids catching fire
35193/5 transferring to Cumbria & North Lancs, they should have been repainted in Lakes green livery at Wheatsheaf, but unclear if they have managed to do that due to some communication confusion.

Three Darts parked outside of Wheatsheaf last night - all were in standard Stagecoach fleet livery.

Cheers Dan. Suspicion was they'd just made them corporate in mistake.

EDIT: They were to be collected from Slatyford, so there might still be hope. There was one collected yesterday afternoon but broke down and returned, which was from (and back to...) Slatyford.
19196 back in service at Slatyford - out on Xpress workings today

35193 arrived, just seats retrimmed so will be going green. 35195 was the one that broke, arriving later this week.
22342 will be swapping with possibly 54045 from this weekend at Stockton for a week as its going to Silverstone
Sunderland bus row is a fare old ding-dong = http://www.shieldsgazette.com/news/sunde...-1-8648537

There are lots of requests in the comments on Facebook for a bus service that goes from South Shields to Sunderland Royal Hospital.

The E services are still having regular "late running" issues.

Haha no worries.

I can see where people are coming from but it's not end of the world, walking from Park Lane to Fawcett street, i mean they can still get the metro from the train station.

It's a good point about the potential need for a direct link between South Shields and Sunderland Royal - especially when clinical services start to be consolidated as the two trusts work closer together - meaning more people have to travel between the two to access services.
Another x24 broke down just saw in Gateshead
On nexus website says stagecoach starting a 118 route from four lanes end to BT is this a stand alone route or will it work with another route
