Following on from Michael's thread on songs that you secretly like. What about those songs you openly think are fantastic or are huge fans of?

There's a few I can't get out of my head at the moment. Rihanna - Where Have You Been, Avicii vs Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One (Nicktim Radio Edit), Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix), Avicii - Wake Me Up, Ellie Goulding - Burn, and Lady Gaga - Applause.

Anyone got any others? Smile
As I mentioned in the other music thread I'm a huge fan of the band Crystal Castles. It won't be to everyone's taste but here are two of my favourite tunes by them (one studio and one live performance):

I quite like Crimewave. There's almost an early 90s euro vibe to it. I can't get away with the other track though. It sounds like the noise you'd get when your SNES crashed. Smile

I admit that Chip-tune (or 8-bit Techno as it also known) isn't to everyone's taste but I quite like it, rather ironically, for the same reasons you dislike it. Not all their tunes are like that though, they're quite experimental with their music.
The Mavericks Greatest Hits BlushBlush
There is literally nothing recent grabbing my attention at all.

Music I listen to on my travels include some Britpop stuff, The XX, Kasabian and Faithless.
There will be some Trance/House music knocking about too.
Any dance, trance or house music these days is just too commercial for my taste, although I do tap my head to a bit Swedish House Mafia.
Although a mate who does a bit dj'ing has sent some stuff over on Soundwave, I just want to go out and party when that gets played.

If I am in the Co Durham or North Yorkshire areas I listen to Star Radio, beyond there is TalkSport or 5Live on pre-set and because other stations usually play the same crap, put Radio Newcastle on if I am on Tyneside etc.

I quite like xfm, but even they haven't played anything to grab my attention recently.
I do like Hawksbee and Jacobs on TalkSport mind

I had a hell of a lot of 80s music going on last night, but I've moved back into my generation of music...
The neighbours love a bit of Rihanna ;-)

I'm still addicted to Rihanna - "Jump" and Rihanna - "Right Now". Have been ever since she performed them at the SoL earlier this year.

Avicii's new album is unreal mind.
Haven't had it off all week... The song on attached photo is such a feelgood tune when full blast
Anyone heard Cher's new single? I was shocked to find out she was 67 and still kicking about releasing songs..!

Nope, never heard it. Any good?

Can remember her comeback in 98/99 - her voice had gone then and had to be 'synthed'.

Just been watching Jools Holland and had to switch off when Chas & Dave appeared as guests.
Jools is scraping the barrel now.
It's catchy, but I can't say I'm a fan... I dislike the repetition of the words "Woman's World" throughout - I always think of Cher as one of these rather powerful female vocalists, but I think I've heard songs from Beyonce that are just as powerful and carry more meaning.
