Thank you for clearing that up

RE: Arriva North East - Latest - Roland Pratt - 15 Aug 2014

(15 Aug 2014, 9:26 am)Coppercap40 Endured 4712 on X93 M'boro to Whitby yesterday, it left full and standing with more boarding at Guisborough, I noticed that it lacked a rear exhaust pipe, is this a modification or had it just fallen off!!!

An easy assumption to make at Redcar!

Think I saw that leaving Ashington about 11.40 with someone wearing a shirt and tie driving it (not Sapphire uniform), wondered where it was going...

Has anyone heard any feedback from those drivers who have been familiarised so far as to how this compares to the Pulsars

I've not had a drive of it yet, but have been familiarised with the cab etc. I'm told they're a bit slower though by those who have driven them over from depot... Also lower top speed being limited at 52-53 as opposed to Pulsars which will do 60.

Yes a driver told me he was dreading taking them up Lythe Bank! Going to be as bad as the London deckers at Robin Hoods Bay?!

Been told they're set up for the hills though, so we will wait and see! We were all wondering about the wheelbase being longer than Pulsars, with the humps in Skelton High St and going into Skinningrove?

Ha'way...you can't get any worse than that.

They fall back down (and that's not me exaggerating either!)

RE: Arriva North East - Latest - L469 YVK - 16 Aug 2014

What buses do you guys think would cope on this bank. I'm not going to name it but I'll give yous a few clues:

- No Caravans allowed
- On the way to the land of pink creatures where the place is named after
- 25 % gradient
- Plenty of warning signs ahead
- Bend in the middle

I haven't the foggiest, but I assumed the answer would be one of the two!
