By restricting the number of digits (to four) the 'computer' has fewer operations to make with fewer answers.

If you allowed a search on just one digit you would get a considerable number of answers, most of which would be false.

Two digits eases the situation, and three moreso, and four makes the computational 'load' tolerable.

(30 Aug 2014, 10:03 pm)tyresmoke There's an additional morning Middlesbrough-Framwellgate Moor journey and corresponding return on an afternoon. Also the school holiday gaps have been removed on the X2 (as we lost the schools that it interworked with).
It's been hourly on a Sunday since January.

Weekday changes also see working changes with the early morning Stockton turn that previously ran only as far as Durham and then returned to Middlesbrough working right through to Newcastle.
