RE: Bustimes Tracking Queries - Storx - 09 Apr 2021 (09 Apr 2021, 3:01 pm)MichealAaron So something I want to point out. I think Ashington should withdraw 1800/1801/2809/2812/2813. Mainly because there are showing to be performing badly on the 57/57A rota. Cause today 7484 and 7515 are on it today with a failed 2813 without 2812 or 2809 replacing it. It makes me wonder now that 1579 and 1580 have gone to Belmont that now leaves 1407 being the only long single decker at Ashington which is rarely allocated to the 57 rota. I think Ashington should ethier. 1407 has gone to Blyth and there's also still the Omnicity's for singles. Wouldn't be surprised to see Solo's come from Jesmond / Blyth for the MPD's and hopefully 2809 there's a lot lying around doing nothing atm. The Deckers are only allocated as there's simply nothing else to allocate, it's not by choice. There's also no Pulsars free to send to Ashington either, the fleet is rather stretched at Ashington, Durham and Blyth as it is to send more to Ashington for no reason and Darlington is constantly loading buses from Stockton. Arriva quite badly need investment atm as Ashington has it's own problems with having 57/09 deckers running to Berwick which are also finished, no doubt the reason the X21/X22 isn't going every 20 minutes atm. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - Ryland - 09 Apr 2021 In theory 1431 should transfer back to redcar or 2866 to see 1759 into withdrawl and either pulsar or solo acts as a spare for Whitby RE: Bustimes Tracking Queries - MichealAaron - 09 Apr 2021 I'm just saying this and I aint being harsh to Arriva but Arriva won't invest in new buses. I don't think they have had new buses for ages now. If I remember correctly the last order they had was the E400MMC for Ashington. The darts and solos need to be taken of as there proven to be not the best lately RE: Bustimes Tracking Queries - GNE6312 - 09 Apr 2021 (07 Apr 2021, 10:22 am)Cobalt271 1407 tracks as itself because it's now permanently Ashington based according to the latest fleet list. (07 Apr 2021, 8:20 pm)Storx Yeah that's fair then, nice to see there's some refurbs planned. During full allocation Blyth should have 4 left over decksrd between dupes with 1 left over during dupes as 3 Blyth buses are required on dupes for the 308, X7 & X11. Blyth should in theory be recieving 2 deckers from Durham seeing as 7485/87 were only meant to be there when 7609/10 were at Blyth (I think) although not sure weather Durham will send 7485/87, 2 other decksrs or nothing except the pulsars is a mystery. If Blyth don't get anymore deckers they may need to consider putting on or 2 dupes up to contract to someone else. Thanks for that, had a feeling it would be rather tight with the dupes on especially when Blyth doesn't have the most reliable fleet at the best of times. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - peter - 12 Apr 2021 According to Bustimes 1768 and 1769 have transferred from Blyth to Durham - it must be quite a while since an MPD was on the streets of Durham! RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - GNE6312 - 12 Apr 2021 All Blyth new transfers have entered service on the following routes today 1407-X7/X8/X9 1461-X10/X11 (board thst does a round trip on the 308 to start off) 1462-X7/X8/X9 1463-X7/X8/89 1475-2/X16 Although thought to be withdrawn commanders 1401/2 have went to Ashington both on the 35/X21/X22 And 1768/69 have gone to Durham 1768 is on the 49/49A/57/57A (or however it goes) 1769 is on the 56 RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - Micheal Aaron Parker - 12 Apr 2021 Why are 1401/1402 allocated to the 35/X21/X22 RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - Dan - 12 Apr 2021 (12 Apr 2021, 5:05 pm)GNE6312 All Blyth new transfers have entered service on the following routes today They're not very Sapphire! It seems it's more like. Blyth Out: 7609(7485)/7610(7487)/1401/1402/1768/1769 In: 1407/1461/1462/1463/1475/1409? Durham Out: 1461/1462/1463/1475/1409? In: 7485/7487/1768/1769/1579/1580 Ashington Out: 1407/1579/1580 In: 1401/1402 Only really 2 big bus gain for Blyth rather than the 8 that's needed for the 1/2. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - mb134 - 13 Apr 2021 (13 Apr 2021, 10:53 am)Storx So it seems the transfers have all been done but does anyone actually know what the reason behind it as the 1/2 are still ran by the minibuses and 1401/1402 aren't withdrawn either, are they actually for the expresses or was it actually about giving Blyth newer buses rather than the 2 ex London deckers. Blyth still have a small "don't send me to Newcastle" rota, which will be minibuses. 1401/2 only appear to be at Ashington because their engineers can't work out how to get the rest of their buses to stay on the road for more than a week. 1401 was taken off the X20 early on this morning and replaced by an E400. 7445 is spending another day on the X14, having done the first southbound X18 from Belford to Alnwick via Seahouses this morning (balls of steel whoever allocated that), while 7484 is doing its thing on the Sapphire circuit as per. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - GNE6312 - 13 Apr 2021 (13 Apr 2021, 11:07 am)mb134 Blyth still have a small "don't send me to Newcastle" rota, which will be minibuses. Does it really matter if its minis on those boards, there's lots of depots which are fine without minis for newer drivers such as all Stagecoach NE depots (Exept Stockton) have no minis with their smallest buses being atleast E200s aswell as Riverside depot with GNE and even arriva NE's own Stockton depot. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - Storx - 13 Apr 2021 (13 Apr 2021, 11:07 am)mb134 Blyth still have a small "don't send me to Newcastle" rota, which will be minibuses. Yeah that's fair answers my question. Seems like Ashington has borrowed the person who does Blyth's allocations recently they've been all over the place the past few weeks. Noticed there's 2 Enviros including a 64 plate on the 57 today yet like you said 7445 is on the X14. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - mb134 - 13 Apr 2021 (13 Apr 2021, 3:08 pm)GNE6312 Does it really matter if its minis on those boards, there's lots of depots which are fine without minis for newer drivers such as all Stagecoach NE depots (Exept Stockton) have no minis with their smallest buses being atleast E200s aswell as Riverside depot with GNE and even arriva NE's own Stockton depot. It isn't to do with that. Minibus rotas, AFAIK, have a lower pay rate. As soon as a conventional vehicle goes on that driver is then paid full whack. (13 Apr 2021, 3:39 pm)Storx Yeah that's fair answers my question. Think it's more to do with vehicle availability than anything else. 7530 is on there today I think and, given its recent perfomance, that is likely due to it being local work only. Generally if you see an Ashington MAX vehicle on 'local' work (i.e on the 35 if that goes standalone again), it's because it can't be trusted to go further or is running in a new major component. See 7514 and 7555's large 35 stints at various periods as examples. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - GNE6312 - 13 Apr 2021 (13 Apr 2021, 3:46 pm)mb134 It isn't to do with that. Minibus rotas, AFAIK, have a lower pay rate. As soon as a conventional vehicle goes on that driver is then paid full whack They should just allocate the full size bus regardless may aswell show the Justification of reducing the frequency of the 1/2. If they're still putting solos on they may aseell have had them every 20 mins RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - N391OTY - 13 Apr 2021 There's been a few transfers involving Jesmond recently as well. 2822 has returned to Jesmond and has been working 553 and other services today. 2856 has returned to Darlington after a long stint, possibly on loan. 7425/26 have both returned to Redcar (?) and have seen service on the X93. RE: Arriva NE recent transfers - peter - 13 Apr 2021 (13 Apr 2021, 6:50 pm)N391OTY There's been a few transfers involving Jesmond recently as well. Seems to be a swap between 2822 and 2856 - 2822 had gone down to Darlington at the start of February. Either a loan due to Darlington's shortage or perhaps Arriva have had the common sense to return 2856 with the rest of the batch. |
