Volvo B9TL/Opatre Olympus 1904 (YJ08 EEB) has moved from Dewsbury to Selby for use on the 415. Rumours are going around that a number of these will replace Geminis 1500-7 on the service due to increasing unreliability.

Streetdeck 35101 (SN64 CSF) has transferred from Sheffield Olive Grove to Rotherham Midland Road to commence trials on the X78 (Doncaster to Sheffield via Rotherham and Meadowhall) ahead of an alleged order for 22 for use on the X78 replacing the increasing unreliable (and increasing costly) Volvo B9TLs presently used on the service.
With thanks to Duncan Robinson on 'The Northern Road Transport Trust' Facebook group, it will work the following X78 journeys on weekday:
Doncaster to Sheffield: 0530 0830 1140 1450 1810 2110
Doncaster to Rotherham: 2345
Rotherham to Doncaster: 0448
Sheffield to Doncaster: 0650 1005 1315 1630 1945 2230
Got a few nags regarding the bus scene in Yorkshire:
Connexions' four Olympians were used on a special tour on Sunday, which was billed as a 'G104AAD farewell' (it is due for withdrawal shortly), which possibly turned out to be just that as it failed with after the first part of its run! Still a good afternoon out though. Here are a few pictures from the day (one of the line up, plus one of each bus):
The four vehicles posed together:

It's thought they will be operating Park & Ride Routes 59 (joining the first batch that currently operate that route) and the 9. If I recall correctly from my travels down there last year, the 9 operates with Wright Eclipse Urbans.

One of Harrogate & District's Leyland Olympians, normally used only on school work, has worked a peak Thorpe Arch-Harrogate service the past two evenings, releasing one of the main fleet for Flower Show shuttles. Here it is about to pull up for me to board it:

A new day will be dawning in York on August 1st 2015
Following tendering, the University of York has awarded the Unibus contract to First York, who will introduce service 66 from the above date. However, Transdev will be continuing operation of the 44 between the Railway Station and the University however it will have to be re-routed within the University as they will no longer be able to use the bus-only road within the Campus. The future of First's 4 between Acomb and the University and the ub1 within the Campus is not yet known.

(12 Dec 2014, 9:03 pm)R852 PRG Is Leeds in Yorkshire?
Sorry I'm just really bad with counties and regions, etc., I think it's classed West Yorkshire!
Anyway, I never want to see another Enviro400 ever again. Must have counted about 40-50 in First colours, along with one or two B7TL Geminis and an ALX400.
Saw loads of Arriva stuff as well, although I must say Leeds seems very much like Newcastle - in the sense that certain areas are dominated by different operators.
