Maybe so, that red does look more like corporate red than the more orange shade of red that Red Arrows currently has!

Well my plan only includes the 11-REG ones going corporate Wink

We won't see 12 reg Red Arrows and new buses on the Red Arrows, GNE have said before they dont want a mixture of buses on a branded service.

Be daft to have 7 buses with plugs etc and the rest with none.

Well as 6001 has also gained Advertisement Boards, therefore I think it is quite obvious that this will be a Corporate Livery Spare, what would be the point in putting them on if the Vehicle in the first place if it was to be re-branded for the Red Arrows.

Lets just pray to god that GNE have not ordered StreetDecks or B5TLs for the X1.

They can order them without the plugs?

I agree with your main point though. If you are going to buy new buses, you might aswell replace the whole lot rather than 7.

Not really. Just look at the Northern and Pronto (and even 3943). Those have advert boards.

It sounded in Dans description that only 6001-6007 would be repainted although i could be wrong as he said batch... did he just mean 6001-6007 or all of them... not sure if you would count 6001-6007 as a batch and then 2012 ones...

Malarkey im not disagreeing... if thats what happening.. it looks like all of them will be done...as in my previous post... i don't see them having 7 buses with plugs and the rest without.

They could order them without plugs but Red Arrows is one of GNE's best services... i would think they would want plugs on them.

Well have to see what 6002 etc comes out as.

Only thing I can think off if they do 7 to Crook and 7 as spares (inc PVR shortfalls on the Angel), is that if the latter batch go to Crook, then 1 could well be an 11 plate vehicle owing to 6049 having a Tachograph which of course, Riverside desperately need more off. Or alternatively, Riverside still have to take a bus of the 10/10B if 6043 to 6048 fail but only lacking plug sockets. They could well even swap the Tacho system out of 6049 and fit it on one of the 11 plate batch.

Can't say for definite yet. Will need to wait for the other 7 or even 14 to get done first but regardless, we will not know until the very last minute because if Arriva find out, then that'll either mean revisions for the X12 or even worse, some good E400s from either the North East or any other Arriva division which could well be fitted with plug sockets.

Even if all of them get repainted red, i still think they'll remain at Washington, on the Red Arrow... i think the brand will be re-designed to fit in with the advert boards.

Would be good if GNE used those adverts boards to advertise the brand - such as route savers etc instead of stuff like insurance etc.

That is a good plausible theory but you will have to say, unless its designed really well then I think branding will be less noticetable than previously because of the addition of adverts(Regardless if the adverts are for the brand or something external) which more than likely will downgrade the brand than it is at the moment.

Going to be interesting how it will work out and as other says, let see what colour the others come out with.

Also what is going to happen with those silver merc in Sunderland? They may aswell be in the fleet livery if there is going to be no branding applied to the sliver livery.

Did he? I interpreted it has 6049-6055 staying where they are with 6001-6007 being replaced by new vehicles.

I did mean the Red Arrows. Smile

Don't see GNE just replacing 6001-6007 with new buses... that would be daft.... GNE have said before they don't want a mixture of branded buses.

Don't see the brand getting new buses yet.
