(22 Nov 2018, 2:33 pm)cbma06 Doesn’t look the streetlites will be getting the new sapphire livery as I’ve seen one of the streetlites with the 22/23/24 along the side

I've seen a few today - I prefer them like this, although I hope they've actually rebranded all of the StreetLites rather than leaving them in the disastrous state they were in beforehand with at least one being solely branded for the 22 with the rest for 22|24. Some of the Pulsars have also been redesigned with the new route branding yet remain in the Sapphire livery.

Think it's a bit silly leaving them in the old livery though? Especially when some of the buses on the routes are in the new livery with the new logo. Looks messy to me.

I agree. It really makes me think about just how much Arriva actually value their route branding strategy if they don't repaint the current vehicles on the route to match the refurbished vehicles joining them.

Same story at Ashington with the X21/X22 - roughly a year and a half in with the E400MMCs and still no sign of the 14-reg E400s being repainted to match.

It's obvious that Arriva don't value their branding at all, and it's a shame they won't rebrand the StreetLites but obviously their marketing budget won't be as much in this region. At least they've actually added the 23 to the branding now with the 22 and 24.

Should swap the remaining Streetlites at Belmont with the 3 sapphire pulsars at Darlington (1514/15/16) on the 7, the 3 that are unbranded at Jesmond (1479/1512/13), then send the last remaining streetlite to Redcar in exchange for (1440).

Would result in a full pulsar allocation on the 22/23/24.

They've been quite happy to treat Blyth's recently repainted Solos to another lick of paint though...

Does anyone know what else has left Ashington when the 4 Yorkshire E400s transferred there apart from 7414/5?

Is the official allocation of the 306 now a mixture of B7s and Pulsars?

7412 has left too, the 57 reg E400s transferred to the X20, when they're not knackered.

Apparently the drivers in the South of the region have balloted for strike action.

Last ditch attempt to prevent it in a meeting between Senior Managers and Trade Union representatives tomorrow, but failing that, likely before Christmas.

Currently on £9.50 an hour, 3.5% rise takes that up to £9.83. Would you drive a bus being responsible for possibly 80+ peoples safety for that?

Although to be fair, new starters at Ashington/Blyth/Jesmond get £9.09 an hour for that..........
