(23 Apr 2019, 9:21 pm)streetdeckfan I like the white and despise the yellow. I get yellow is a historic colour, but there are very few ways to use use yellow and not make it look like it was designed in paint by a 5 year old

(23 Apr 2019, 10:19 pm)Malarkey I have always found the RYB variations of the old corporate liveries of the past to be very vibrant and eye catching however the inclusion of white looks out of place in the new revised corporate livery compared to the original livery which was introduced in 2016 in my opinion.
I actually think it would be quite a good idea for Go North East to come up with three different designs of the corporate livery and allow the passengers who use their services on a daily basis vote on what they think looks best rather than making a change to the livery thinking "that looks good" then once a vehicle is painted into the updated livery which has been agreed upon to then look back it and say "actually it doesn't look that great, lets tweak it a bit" until they eventually find something they actually all think looks fantastic.
It's not just the design of the corporate livery Go North East seem unsure on at the moment, you have the design on the Cobalt Clippers where they've changed the tone of blue on one of the stripes so at the moment you have 6101-03 carrying a darker stripe then you 6104 on wards coming back with a lighter coloured blue stripe on them, for me it looks pretty poor on the operators part as lets be honest there was nothing wrong with the corporate livery introduced in 2016.

I just did a quick Photoshop of how I would change it and I think it looks way better (but that's just my opinion)

Also, I noticed there is a dot missing from the website and now I can't unsee it!
I also photoshopped 6103 to have 'corporate' livery and it looks quite smart imo

(17 Apr 2019, 3:21 pm)Dan Interesting - I suppose the burning question therefore is which indiGo services are being upgraded, and which ones are being downgraded?
If the North Tyneside examples are currently being fitted with USB sockets, it's an upgrade above the current high-spec indiGo.
(17 Apr 2019, 3:42 pm)RBZ 5459 Rather than spec, I was thinking age of vehicle on that one. So 701 to 709 to Percy Main, with some of Percy Main's indiGos - 'newest' fleet number wise getting the USB and repaint treatment - going the other way. So for the 85/86 at Washington, Percy Main 40/41. *Scratches head on 40/41 PVR....*

(24 Apr 2019, 6:13 pm)Venturego Get rid of the Pink above windows and leave black (for Logo / "Strap line ",Route if specific etc...)
Pink triangle below window needs to be different colour that blends better, or use Harlequin style design blending Gold, Beige, Dark Red/brown etc.. - e.g ... like that on Etihad Airways Tail pattern.
Use of Metallic paint in similar shades would enhance image. Metallic Blue (Durham Diamond shade)and Metallic Dark Red on Corporate Livery, also replacing White with Silver and/or Yellow with Gold.
Variations of the colours above on 673 remind me of close resemblance to new East Yorkshire livery, which is good at blending Traditional with modern corporate design
Thoughts...
