(23 Sep 2022, 1:47 pm)cbma06 Looks like we got some Arriva drivers happily imputing the wrong fleet numbers on the ticket machines today, there’s a pulsar on the 24 pretending to be a solo, and there still a lot of 20-25 minutes delays plus a few cancellations for the 22/23/24 as usual, I wonder if any or many Arriva drivers would immigrant to GNE if there offering more pay per hour

(23 Sep 2022, 7:20 pm)GNE6312 7484 ,which has been revived for the 2nd time this year this time appearing to cover for 7508 which seems to have had an incident with a low bridge not long after arriving at Durham, seems to be tracking as it's withdrawn sister 7485 too
(23 Sep 2022, 7:38 pm)Unber43 Northbound with Arriva shutting depots in Newcastle a lot might go to Riverside.

(23 Sep 2022, 8:54 pm)mb134 It was never withdrawn from service at Ashington, it simply happened to be VOR waiting parts around the time 7445 (and later 7446 also) suffered major component failure. From memory 1923 was the 7445 replacement.
It then went to Jesmond in early July for engine work, though it's unclear what the intentions were with it. Given it was reinstated quite quickly after 7508s incident, it likely finished it's engine work relatively recently and might have been sitting as reserve for the time being - or they may have had a longer term plan for it (training?).

(23 Sep 2022, 8:59 pm)GNE6312 Ah right thank you for the info I thought it had been withdrawn both times so thank you for clearing up my confusion.

(23 Sep 2022, 9:08 pm)Storx It depends how the talks are going though there seems to be active discussion between the union and Arriva about the move which appears to not have happened with GNE and the first time driver's found out was when leaflets were dumped on a desk.
Not all of them will be bothered if it's done properly, stuff happens like that with a decent compo and explanation. Other's will move or retire.
Considering it's shutting in just over a month would hint that talks are more positive whereas GNE was a verbal bloodbath by this point but that could change obviously.
Not to mention morale has been rock bottom at GNE for ages (not saying Arriva is any better).

(14 Dec 2022, 11:38 pm)N391OTY Walkergate's 7553 has not tracked since late August but saw it today running NIS, probably heading to Killingworth for one of the afternoon scholars services.

(14 Dec 2022, 11:51 pm)Storx I haven't checked but is it not tracking as SP NE? There appears to be 2 buses tracking under it.
The Streetlite at Ashington is tracking as 1538 aswell, I believe, or it was the other day anyway. Not sure what SP AN is either.
(15 Dec 2022, 12:30 pm)Aaron21 7508 last time I saw. Tracked as 7507&7509 at the same time. Bit ironic how 7507/8&9 have not appeared on bustimes. 7508 we know is down Durham with its roof missing
