(02 Jun 2014, 1:42 pm)AdamY wrote Not sure whether the following made me happy but it sure made me laugh.

While walking through Winlaton on my way to the dentist this morning I happened to bump into one of my old school friends. I explained to him that I was in a hurry but it was obvious he had something to tell me. He asked if I'd been on Facebook this morning to which I replied "No". He then proceeded to tell me that he woke up to a status this morning announcing he had died. I started to laugh and told him he looked quite well for someone who was dead.

While death is no laughing matter and should be respected, I think that's funny, like a message I once got on Friends Re - United, I had heard my best mate/partner in crime from my days in care was died, I had not heard from him since he went to Aberdeen in 2000 and lost touch from 2001 till 2011 and thought his demise could be actually have happened, hence why we lost touch...

Logged into Friends Re-United one morning and had a message saying 'Alright mate, I hear you're mourning my passing, don't worry, this is not a ghost using a computer, I am alive and well, never felt better or fitter' Big Grin

Got two job offers from McDonalds of all places, training is on Friday 13th for one of 'em...

Nice Maths exam on the morning as well!

A job's a job and experience is experience at the end of the day though.

With Seat being part of VW, it is built on the same platform at the VW Golf.

I had the 1.9tdi on a 56 plate from new. Tremendous fun to drive and a lot of spec for your money.

Hopefully they have improved on their pre-delivery checks over the years - mine was back and forth a few times for sackless things, that should have been picked up before it even left the factory.

If they handle like they used to, you should enjoy!

Fair to say I won't be doing that in any burgers if I get the job.

Pleased about that.
Make sure nobody else does either!

I have heard of some shocking finds in food, hair, even pubes and vermin...

But Cum in a burger is a new one...

I love the quote she used

"I'm not gonna lie." McDowell said. "On birthdays and holidays I give my man a little something extra in the bedroom, you know? So when I licked the mayo off the bun, the texture was familiar."

Brings a whole new meaning to the term 'special sauce'.

I've had two Seats in my time - both Ibizas.

The first one was an 1.4 X-plated model bought in 2002 which lasted 4 years; the second was a 1.2 06-plated model bought in 2008 which lasted 5 years. I had very few problems with either model so, overall, I have no complaints about Seat.

Very smart looking motors. One of my mates had a Cupra K1 for a while, and it was rapid to say the least.

Should mention we did this on boards, as I don't think the college would be too happy if we used the walls. Big Grin

Do they teach that in house? Or get a pro in to do it?

Sunderland Council have a scheme, where that they get a youth project in to graffiti the underpasses in Washington. Looks quite smart actually.

They just got a guy to come in this afternoon and showed us how to do it on some small boards.

Some guy came into our school a year or two ago and selected individuals who were good at art and interested in the project were invited to learn how to do graffiti.

They started off on boards, and then they did a wall opposite the library inside one of the buildings and a wall in the Dining Hall. Will try and see if I can find a few pics tomorrow, if anyone is interested. Does look really good.

Can't help but laugh at Bernard Jordan, the old man from Brighton who nicked off from his nursing home to join the veterans in Normandy, go to love the guy...

I love to see the old men on parade and marching, they still don't miss beat, and they always do it with so much pride and dignity...I salute them all

Legend back then.
Still a legend.
His behaviour the other day, just reinforces it.

Another trip to Edinburgh booked up - this time combined with Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games.

Expect it'll be packed, but the buses should be good at least!

The interview I had today at the Emirates ICG very informal, was for a voluntary role as the mascot, right up my street it is, think I did well, said what I wanted to say and what I thought he was looking for me to say and very confident too, if I don't get it, whoever does must have given the interview of a lifetime...

I even invented a new hairdo...called it the Mo' Charlton, think of Bobby Charlton, if he had a Mohican to Combover

Does anyone know if the mayor of Chester is due to be up for election?
If Hangus can do it in Hartlepool...

I've done a bit of costume work in the past. Depending on the type of costume it can be very hot and sweaty inside. However it can be fun and from my own personal experience, a total skive.
