Noticed a very brown Merc tonight.
Never seen or noticed it before - may be new, it may have been in the fleet a while.
SF06 ODX.

Noticed for my school's girl's netball team's game tonight that a Plaxton coach was being used.

I recognised the driver as a former GNE CLS-based Unit 2 driver - who I haven't seen in about a year!

You appear to be a bit confused. The operator you are thinking of/asking a question about is Coastal and Country Coaches who are based at Whitby whereas this is thread is for County Coaches who are based at Chester-le-Street. I shall however PM you with an answer to your question.

Saw this working for County Coaches this afternoon.
Haven't seen it before, so presuming it is a fairly recent arrival.

Shown on our fleetlist here so they must have had it a few months. In a white livery still?

Aye, sure they do Headways work (or they did for the last few school years).

Saw what looked like a Bova heading back into the compound a short while back.
It had been on Headways work and was all white. Reg started WA04.

Looked in decent nick.

Hadn't seen any mention of it and certainly not seen it, so guessing a fairly recent arrival.

Confirmed above addition is WA04TYU Bova Futura. Another addition in recent times is Mercedes Cheetah YN10HHZ. Older vehicles appear to have been removed from the fleet

It appears they have a Solo. Saw one in what appeared to be plain white and displaying County Coaches on the LED blind.
Too far away to get any details unfortunately.

The Police then blocked the nearside lane, for safety reasons, leading to tailbacks all the way to Whitemare Pool
