22078 has now transferred to Newcastle. Currently on Market Street out of service.

Rather unfortunately, this means that Sunderland will perhaps retain non-DDA ALX300s after all.

Hopefully that doesnt happen, would be better if we just kept the DDA ones.

(01 Jul 2014, 1:31 pm)AIG20 Service 12 is only a Monday - Saturday daytime service, which means that the non DDA vehicles will only be in service during the day, not on evenings and Sundays.

Still thought Sc would of wanted to make the depot fully DDA.

Currently no gas buses parked out the back, how ever 2 workmen are working around the gas refueling station

Training bus heading back in to the depot from the back way...

Like always the engineer staff is sitting around doing nothing!

(01 Jul 2014, 1:37 pm)AIG20 Edit: This could also mean that Sunderland could receive further investment (more new Gas Buses) in next years order.

I hope so.

28038 is on the 13 (not sure if this has being out yet, cba to look back

(02 Jul 2014, 7:29 pm)AIG20 There must be a very confused driver operating on the "E" services this evening; as I seen an E1 head down Lizard Lane (towards the Marsden Inn), around the roundabout and back up Lizard Lane again - in the direction of Sunderland, even though the destination read "E1 South Shields" and that this service does not serve Lizard Lane.

This is a common error that a bus driver has made, because three times in the past few months I have seen an E1 (heading to Sunderland) head up Lizard Lane, around the turning circle and back town Lizard Lane towards the Marsden Inn to continue the correct route down the bank and along the Coast Road.

Everyone goes the wrong way from time to time... Easily done when doing a mix of services in one day.

(02 Jul 2014, 7:43 pm)AIG20 Interestingly, Stockton MAN ALX300s 22668 (V668 DDC) and 22669 (V669 DDC) have apparently transferred to Lincoln, including Sunderland's 22491 (T491 BNL). However, 22494 (T494 BNL) remains in reserve at Sunderland.

22668 was still out in service at Stockton this afternoon. Unsure if they've taken another one or just 669, or indeed neither.

(03 Jul 2014, 11:44 am)AIG20 The "E" services are suffering delays of up to 15 minutes due to the traffic congestion in Sunderland as well as the Gas Mains Replacement roadwork's in Whitburn. This is causing some workings being cancelled - as mentioned on the SNE twitter page.

The bridge is down to one lane to, doesnt help

Update from GNE

Go North East
6 mins ·
Services operating from Sunderland are experiencing delays of up to an hour due to traffic congestion at Fawcett Street.
We would advise that you head to Sunderland Interchange to catch your bus.

Will effect all Sunderland based buses and the E's

(03 Jul 2014, 4:43 pm)AIG20 Is South Shields going to get another reserve "T" or "V" reg MAN ALX300? As 22666 has been transferred to Hartlepool and 22675 and 22190 have apparently been transferred to Walkergate Depot.

Are 22190 & 222675 not just being stored at Walkergate? 22190 certainly is listed for disposal so unlikely to see use in Newcastle.
