(31 Mar 2021, 10:05 am)streetdeckfan Key word there being 'almost'!Noticed that! Thought GNE would have put an article out to say which services won't be though. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the X21 wasn't every 15 minutes during the Summer & Autumn, whereas the X7 was still there. Like the X21, maybe they'll think about reintroducing after Covid...
I wonder if they have any intention of bringing back the 15 minute service between Newcastle and Durham on the X21.
The cove vinyls on the B5s still have the 15 minute frequency so I'm guessing they may do at some point

(31 Mar 2021, 10:16 am)streetdeckfan You're right, it wasn't. But the B5s were refurbed during that time and vinyls with the 15 minute frequency were installed.Wasnt it every 15mins with 2 terminating at durham. Iirc that was the reason for ordering 2 extra Streetdecks for the X21
If they weren't going to bring it back, I'd have thought they'd remove it and then replace the vinyl if plans changed, or even just add it over the top.
49/49A seems to be sticking to a 15 minute frequency

(31 Mar 2021, 10:38 am)streetdeckfan Indeed.Yea the one son the X1 are very comfortable and cosy. Dont think I've been on one since January
It's a shame we didn't get any of the new StreetDecks, if they bring back the Newcastle-Durham shorts it'll once again be nigh on impossible to tell which ones continue on to Bishop with the regular height displays.
Oh, and they'd actually be comfortable!

(31 Mar 2021, 10:16 am)S813 FVK The 13 looks to be a gonner too.So given that it interworked with the 25, the 25 will now be standalone with a PVR of 6x?
(31 Mar 2021, 6:50 pm)L469 YVK So given that it interworked with the 25, the 25 will now be standalone with a PVR of 6x?
Will that explain the likely reason behind the movements of the following?
- 6001/49/50 - Now spare
- 6084/85/86 - 3x free with 56 PVR reduction (PVR of TVT is 16x with 3x ex TTX)
- 6099 - Free (Cobalt normal PVR is now 16x)
With the above, that could then release 6043-48

(31 Mar 2021, 7:20 pm)S813 FVK Worth baring in mind that only 11 (enough for the 27 on it's own) B9s are 'Crusader' branded for a total PVR of 14 across both routes. This means 3 unbranded B9s that would be assumed 'spare' are actually required to make up the numbers.

I'm sure if there's an unopened tin of paint at Saltmeadows, I'm sure they find a reason to open it to paint something.
(31 Mar 2021, 10:16 am)S813 FVK The 13 looks to be a gonner too. When you've four 16s (16 / 16A) per hour between Sacriston and Durham and the 13 still did that loop for the stop a Fyndon, people are going to get the 16 / 16A.

Are express routes still observing all stops along the route?
I can't see any mention of it on the website anymore

(15 Apr 2021, 10:17 pm)mb134 MG mentioned in his live video earlier today that they are. He also said the mutual ticket acceptance is still in place, thought that ended last year sometime.

(19 Apr 2021, 11:07 pm)BeachBoy99 Doubt it. Where the X7 is concerned, both that and the X6 have usually looked dead on the regular occasion I've passed them — even at peak times. It likely won't be long before the Peterlee–Sunderland leg gets cut from GNE's network. The removal of the X7 now sees only one express service an hour between Peterlee and Sunderland. Compare that to Arriva with the 22 and 23 interworking every 15 minutes, I think it's safe to say where people are going to turn towards and that Arriva is going to dominate this journey section like they have done with Peterlee–Hartlepool. Saying that though, there's still the 55 — I got that up to Sunderland last Friday morning and it got very busy to a point where people were having to stand.
Not sure what passenger numbers on the 13 were like as it's not a familiar route to myself, but obviously you now have the X20 going up to Langley Park every half an hour, which is also allocated higher-spec buses than the 13 ever has been.
