(14 Nov 2016, 10:54 am)RBZ 5459 If it's not broke, don't tinker
However there is a full network review being taken place for changes in the new year since appointment of the new MD. But it is part of a full UK wide savings drive the company is doing.

(14 Nov 2016, 3:15 pm)V514DFT No i dont think its broke i just think theres something missing and tbh the 22 is a shambles now, often see then run in 2's sometimes 3's yes rush hour i can understand but when its not rush hour and somehow still get bunched together it baffles me,also road works,in which case revisions need to be made as the A1058/A19 road works are going to last just under 3 years

(14 Nov 2016, 4:03 pm)RBZ 5459 Yeah - they occasionally amend timings, but apart from that it is a very stale network Newcastle.

(14 Nov 2016, 11:03 pm)stagecoachbusdepot I'm not convinced it will be a 'cut' overall, yes some services are being reduced but offset that with a couple of services increasing in frequency, plus the Newcastle route, the overall PVR may remain about the same.
Bizarre how many people are complaining online about the 18/19 given how few ever seem to be onboard... going from the number of comments on the Echo page and elsewhere, every bus should be overflowing with passengers!

If we're honest you can't really compare Newcastle vs Sunderland in terms of network. It's like comparing Newcastle to Manchester. It's a total different kettle of fish.
Re-22 anything heading in the vague direction of Cobalt suffers from all 3 operators.
The thing with Newcastle is routes like 1, 38, 10, 11, 30/31/36, 39/40 (to name a few) are established historically successful routes serving big populations in a growing diverse city. There's very little you can change with the majority of that network unless you fiiddle with peripheral routes like the 35, 18, etc
