Arriva North East are to start using a fleet of articulated vehicles on the Great North Road services 43/44/45, buses will leave from John Dobson Street instead of Haymarket and will be curtailed to run Dinnington/Cramlington to Newcastle only, due to infrastructure constraints.

The new fleet is expected to be launched in June, under the ArrivaFrequent brand...

1906 has just recently been tested for another year so I'm guessing early next year before it comes back

Ashington's 7506 is currently working out of Durham......in X21/X22 livery. Couldn't have sent 7518?  Huh

StreetLites 1579/80 now have revised 35 branding, "every 20 mins", reflecting the frequency decrease.

Don't suppose you know how long the Roadworks in this area are expected to last?

EDIT: Never mind, just over heard the depressing answer to that question

EDIT 2: Roadworks at Thinford as well slowing things right down.

Edit: Definitely not there today - Just passed it on an X21 out of Newcastle.

7506 was returned to Ashington on Sunday morning (I was only notified of its use there the night before), I've asked earlier this week why it was down there and it was at DiagTest, but Durham then decided to use it...

At present all of 7501-9, 7518 and 7522-8 are at Ashington.
