Any news on what damage the Streetdeck that hit the bridge sustained?
(03 Jan 2019, 5:47 pm)Adrian Lots of buses going to 'January App Sale' today.I noticed that too. And it always happens right as you want to see the destination!
Does anybody know the cost of a single from Durham?

I'm not a fan of it myself and glad it's only going to be around for this month.
At least they have executed it better than Transdev though, who not only didn't display the route number while the promotion display was on, but had the price in the same font proportions as the route number. Certainly not 'amazing'.

On the topic of destinations, is there anything planned to get the 'X30 Newcastle' display changed over to the terminal point only style?
(03 Jan 2019, 5:54 pm)Adrian I wonder how long before drivers get sick of people asking where their bus is going, or sticking their hand out at the last minute, because they want the bus for 'Fencehouses' - not 'January App Sale'
Not a fan of this at all. Destination equipment should be used for exactly that purpose - informing customers of where the bus is going.

(03 Jan 2019, 5:59 pm)S813 FVK I'm not a fan of it myself and glad it's only going to be around for this month.I'll now be that guy and say destinations are for telling us where they are going and that should be it. Pleased just about all of us are in agreement over this, lord knows the Transdev fanboys would argue night and day that it is a #Amazing idea, sorry I mean innovation.

(03 Jan 2019, 6:29 pm)pbjd I hope it isn't introduced to the Angel21s, and if it is, it's only towards to Newcastle, as passengers will want to know which of the 4 Angels coming towards them together are going to Chester-le-Street or Durham, not how much a ticket they most likely won't buy is.It is, that's what got me confused!

(03 Jan 2019, 8:29 pm)Andreos1 I've not been fortunate enough to see (or notice) these 'destinations', but looking at comments - I'm guessing GNE have replaced the destination with this advertising. Is that correct? It stays on the promo display with route number for a few secs then back to destination for a few secs.

Under DDA regs, the route number and terminal point should always by shown on the front. If the service is registered with the TC and it has a route number, then under the rules, it must be shown at all times. If they just register the service as Rainbow (even thou their buses are not painted in rainbow colours undefined) for example, then this needs to be shown at all times instead of the route number.
There is nothing in the regs about colour, so whilst some colours do not look good to see, they are fine with that.
As you say, its difficult to argue a case, however if the things I have mentioned above are not constantly shown, they are breaking the PSVAR rules.

(03 Jan 2019, 8:53 pm)Andreos1 Interesting.I think thats more advice than protocol, but I may be wrong.
I've quoted this post from citaro5284 that's in the psvar thread.
