I can only recall ever seeing an inspector once in my whole life, and that was on The Angel probably about 5 years ago.
That's unless you count the one on the bus during the strikes that got attacked on the X46. I think he was the Northumbria one as neither he or the driver (from Yorkshire) knew the route of the 6 and had to ask passengers the way through Spennymoor and still went the wrong way!

speaking of buses going the wrong way one of the last 1A's before the chenge I got back to kibblesworth didn't turn left to go past the ravens-worth... it headed straight up the bank....... he had to do a U turn at the garden center to get the bus in the opposite direction as i don't think the road was meant for a bus!

Well the 6 had to do a many point turn at the Spennymoor ASDA roundabout, luckily the cars let him which is unusual for Drivers in Durham!

I've been on one that missed its turn before the library. A convenient roundabout to 7 turn, at least.

If it was me I'd go to the next roundabout, it's a bit further but you don't have to faff about on trying to turn an E400 around on a mini roundabout

Some interesting diversions on the X3/X3A/X4 over recent days due to the protests at Tees Dock and Grangetown. Most seem to be going down Redcar Lane and the A174. One this morning went down Birchington Avenue. Some were coming off at Ormesby and then towards Brambles Farm. One did the whole length of the A174 Parkway and then the A19 and A66. Do the drivers themselves decide?

I've seen a couple of them and they appeared to be using the James Cook slip-road off the A174, after coming up from Redcar.

Saw a couple heading towards the coast, but didn't see where it got on to the Parkway.

Those Streetlites seemed to struggle on the faster sections of the diversion.

As well as the A66 for some reason best known to the themselves the police had the Trunk Road blocked off between the Magnet and West Gate Roundabout eastbound only. I travelled on an X4 westbound and there was no reason whatever for it being shut eastbound.

So Arriva are "revising" frequencies on Darlington services 4, 9, 10 13a and 13b from 21.7. A guess/certainty is the revision will be downwards seeing a reduction in frequencies thus releasing Solos from Darlington. Is this how the Darts North of the Tyne are finally to be removed?

It won’t free much up - reduction is likely to see Monday to Friday Frequencies match the Saturday ones - the PVR at Darlington drops by just 3 on a Saturday compared to a weekday (4 on the 4, 7 on the 9/10 and 7 on 13a/13b on Friday, versus 6 on 4/9, 3 on the 10 and 6 on 13a/13b on Saturday).

If they make it the same frequency as a Saturday it could quite possibly free up other vehicles, 1406 or 1416 are supposed to be moving to Stockton, the spare solos could be used on the 8/8A, could also be starting to send things away for repaint, 2819/2820 for example, the possibility are endless

Seen a max Gemini roaming around Sunderland. Looked like a Jesmond vehicle. Any clues why it’s in Sunderland?

Definently Jesmond. It’s 7412 now going towards the moterway

Lets Rock shuttle service LR1 in operation between Sunderland and Herrington Country Park - 7410 likely to be the bus you saw based on photos on Facebook, and it's been joined by other buses from Belmont.

Two Frequenta Pulsars have transferred to Durham from Redcar for the weekend as a result.

7412 and 7414 from Jesmond (7414 is on LR2)

7536/8 from Darlington

7426 taking up a pit at Durham from Redcar

The two Frequenta Pulsars are 1436 and 1438 - reduced Redcar PVR on Saturdays. Of course, more than likely the 63 and X3 have been mainly Temsas to free up a Streetlite for Moorsbus.

At least one Temsa on the X4.

There was also a service LR2 from Doxford International, allocation for both services were Sapphire E400's and MAX B7TL Gemini's.

Do you know what is wrong with 7426 as I require that one. On Saturday went to Whitby 7424 was out along with 143? And 4705.

Actually 1433 was one of the Redcar ones at Durham.
