(28 Sep 2019, 2:12 pm)L469 YVK Mechanically, the ADL E400MC is a superior product. Arriva's classic bodied ZF examples (barring the ones that Blyth & Redcar had anything to do with) have been good and even more so 7522-7540.
Can't comment on 7541-52 as they're voith examples but I'd imagine the E400MMC would serve GNE very well. My argument about the StreetDecks is that although the 67 plates have been good, they were purchased for the correct type of route and I know that 6333 has been helping out on the X21 but that's only been a recent arrangement (less than a year but correct me if I'm wrong).
I can't see the StreetDecks being suited to some of the routes they'll be going on particularly the X47/X70/X71
