(10 Sep 2020, 8:24 pm)S813 FVK You're wrong.

Identifies the X31 as going to Consett though. Presumably ahead of any future changes to interworking patterns discussed previously.

I was on the X45 the other day with one of the E400s running and they've updated the maps to show the correct route now.

Sorry, you find having no paper timetables in a pandemic when they are probably wrong and another non essential touch point ridiculous?

Does anyone outside enthusiasts give a toss?

Honestly speechless at the lack of awareness here. Jesus Christ

Talking of timetables, weren't there supposed to be new style PDF timetables introduced in September? The ones that Dan asked for pictures of so they could be put on the front of the (printed) timetables. The current PDF ones do look a lot better than the black and white ones, but I'm sure they are supposed to be similar to the Venture and Little Coasters ones that are up.

We're in the height of a global pandemic and it's taking longer than usual for design agencies to typeset paper timetables and for printers to produce them? How bizarre.

Perhaps, Cock Robin, you should stop acting like a cock and take some consideration for the reason that there weren't any. Go North East haven't printed new timetables for months, so why now have you only just realised? Besides, they are a huge waste of money; it's only really the bus enthusiasts—and that minority of people who don't have access to the online versions—who take them.

If you find that ridiculous, you need to reevaluate your idea of the issues going on in the real world.

Totally agree. I have a feeling it's only going to be marginally less bland than the Cobalt livery

Unlike the Little Coaster timetables, the new timetable for 39/39A has no mention of evening services operated on behalf of Nexus

This version of the timetable (including the printed variant) is only intended to be short term. A ‘proper’ Sunderland area guide booklet will be created, and this is where the full timetable (similar to North Tyneside) will be.

Will these area guides eventually be made for each area, ie. one for Gateshead, Durham etc.?

Eventually, yes. They take a lot of time (as does the typesetting and production of timetables in general, in the current climate!)

Just picking up on comments a few days ago regarding the Crusader flag, surely the flag is a lot more relevant than the torch?

After all, it was a crusade in which people displayed flags and banners, not an angry mob carrying burning torches!

Its the symbolism of the torch that holds the meaning of hope, endurance and enlightenment. Statue of Liberty torch lights the way to freedom and liberty. Surely a more fitting emblem than waving a flag from the golf course.

The "Chinese" crusader version did show the type of banners that were used. Never have I seen pictures of them holding triangular flags!

Christ, you're giving me flashbacks to the nightmare that was GCSE English!

Had they used a different flag (like the one on the old Crusader livery), it would have made a bit more sense, but now you mention it, it does look like a logo for a golf course!

To be fair the torch; graphically, looks more appealing and classy. The older crusader livery just looked like a bad dream...so did the black Blaydon Racer after the first 10mins.
