7484 was on it the other day too. It doesn't run off anything else at the moment with the reduced service (it's usually an X14 board), so can pretty much throw up anything. It should be the same bus which does the morning X30/652 but generally that is either punted elsewhere on its return to Ashington, or is required by engineering.

Think it should be allocated 7510 but that's been off the last week so everything has been chucked on inuding 2812 last Friday

7510 is off for MOT I believe.

Realistically all Volvos should be parked up at the moment given the PVR has dropped by 4 due to the reduction in 35/X21/X22 level and interworking, with this board now the only one 7510 is really suitable for given its low top speed. Obviously all Volvos are still in near daily service, with at least one appearing on an Alnwick express route every day this week bar today.

Tbh I would have said a volvo is more suited than 7510 for the X30 seeing as a majority of the X30 route is motorway and 7510 having a speed limiter (which realistically should be removed or increased)

They probably are, hence why they are used ahead of 7510 on the X20 when required, but its likely 7510 will be preferred given its age, appearance etc.

7510 is limited by it's differential if I remember correctly. There is/was a high speed one in the shell of 7513 which should have been put into 7510, however that still hasn't happened for some reason.

Stockton and Redcar seem to have had a few vehicles missing today.
Noticed a Pulsar and a Centro on the 5. Are there issues with the Streetlites?
1759 on the 62 and a 63 branded Pulsar on the X3 and another in the X4.

Is the 5 still allocated Streetlites? Last I heard (some time ago!) they kept the branded Streetlites off the 5 due to reliability issues?

Yes, the 5 is still officially allocated Streetlites. However, at present with Stockton operating a reduced PVR, vehicles which are due for 28-day inspections are the Covid Reverse fleet for the week - and this week that includes 2 Streetlites. Plus, don't forget that 1556 is on-loan to Darlington.
Also, a number of the early morning journeys from Easington to Middlesbrough are Pulsar-operated running onto 8s etc. Plus one of the evening turns on 5s is also booked for a Pulsar running off 8/17/17a (weekdays) or 28/28a (Saturdays).

There were all sorts of issues being reported and reasons why the Pulsars were being allocated at the time, including factors relating to fuel economy, timetable and reliability.
I think the findings were that differences were negligible, so the Streetlites were put back on. In the main, that seems to be the case from what I've seen.

Thought that was the case.
This was mid-day though, so those workings weren't the booked ones.
