Just wondering if they will ever get some double-deckers to Stockton especially for the 35 as it's ram packed with school kids and you can hardly move, would also be good if they add some E400's on the 36 as well as that can get packed. I also heard that we are getting hydrogen buses to Stockton any idea if this is true and when will they be coming?

I haven't seen a packed single decker on Teesside in a while, certainly not going to bring deckers for a couple school runs that have always been busy. Plus there is no investment to allow for deckers to be spare.

Hydro bus currently parked up in depot. Looks more like a midi bus than a single decker so I could potentially see Hartlepool receiving some if the trial is successful.

In about 15 years time when they're knackered.

If indeed Newcastle take the E200MMC , Stockton will be boxing clever with capital expenditure replacements in due course.

I can't see the MMC's moving unless Houchen decides to actually by some Hydro buses (I'm doubting since all he cares about is the airport)

I did hear off a few people that it was a swap for the Alexander 300 where been swapped with the Enviro 200 MMC.  Of course plans might be getting changed all the time and a lot could depend yet on where Stagecoach are willing to buy new buses for ( if indeed they do buy many new buses at all). Stockton are not actually to bad whereas Hartlepool the buses are literally falling to bits so have to give credit for the engineering team actually getting enough of them on the road. So I could see Stockton getting a few of the older Enviro 400 along with the Alexander 300 with Hartlepool getting the remaining darts and a few of the better Enviro 200s. Stockton might possibly if they get any more investment move the Enviro 300 to Hartlepool for the service 1

You have nothing to complain about. A load of new buses even some of the older ones look decent. Meanwhile Hartlepool have buses that are literally falling to bits and the engineers are working hard to actually keep them on the road.

I was once on one of Hartlepools e200 locals and the livery was awful it was coming off bus stop buttons dont work and was really thin as im used to my e300s and the seats were a mess and was really loud

Stockton are still getting Newcastles ALXs but it seems like one of the 54 platers are wanting to survive which is 22062 and has been on the 13/13A yesterday

The Tees Valley Combined Authority have an agreement with both Stagecoach and Arriva that 20% of their combined PVR within the Tees Valley is operated by vehicles which meet the Euro6 emission standard - hence the upgrading and cascading of the E300s rather than the E200MMCs. (Partly off topic but Arriva's share of that agreement is covered by the MAX Pulsars converted for use on the X12).

(15 Apr 2023, 9:58 am)AlexRPlays Yeah when our shitboxes eventually get withdrawn. I heard rumors that the 39s are getting withdrawn late this year and we are meant to get 24s and 22s.

Given Hartlepool were originally due to get 27805/9/12 and so far 805/12 have entered service at Stockton (adding weight to the long-mentioned issue with full size vehicles and Hartlepool's maintance shed), along with mention that 39663/8 - both of which were due for withdrawal last month when their MOT expired - have been re-tested, suggests the likelihood of that rumour being true is about as likely as a pig flying.
More likely to see some E200s cascaded in from somewhere to replace the remaining MANs at Hartlepool.

That is absolutely not true and I know this from the day job I actually do, which involves both operators and TVCA.

39663 and 39668 are surviving for another year at least but looks like 39667 and 39670 have been withdrawn both parked up in depot with 667 front facing onto Brenda Road. Of course it means nothing as both are still Intact  so could simply be they just not been used today but where they currently parked  does seem to be where the withdrawn buses are put.  I think Hartlepool at the very least does need 3 more permanent buses bringing in from somewhere.
