Summer is what was rumoured on here for Ashington / Jesmond which would make sense if they're shipping them out. I guess you's have a PVR reduction as you seem to be losing 8 buses and only gaining 6 (there's no 7513 as it went up in smoke).

Also feel sorry if they're going on the Selby to York routes as they're shot to bits being on the X15/X18 for most their life.

7513 was withdrawn after a collision on the A1. Believe it had broken down and was waiting in a bus stop when a car collided with the back of it.

The original 7510 was the one that had a thermal incident, with the 'new' 7510 being 7513s (insurance?) replacement.

Arriva are getting new buses, it is now confirmed.

However, no E400s are transferring out of North East, as they are all earmarked for Euro 6 conversion for Newcastle CAZ.
The new buses coming into North East will instead withdraw life expired Volvo B7s and DB250's.

7511 and 7512 are probably also very likely to be withdrawn, as they will be 15 years old this year and I don't think Selby would want older buses than the ones they have now?
As mentioned 7513 doesn't exist.
7514-7517 will stay with North East and likely converted to Euro 6, if they haven't already. They still have a year or two of service left.

7511 and 7512 surely wouldn't be withdrawn before the 55-reg ALX400's...doubt there'll be enough new vehicles to cover all the old B7's plus the ALX 400's plus 7511 and 7512?

Rumors I can only assume. The information I've been told was from someone who works in North East head office, that is why I'm confident enough to post it here.

It's doable like.

19 Enviro 400 MMC's
7 ex Liverpool Pulsars

Have come / or are coming in.

There's 24 B7TL's in the fleet but I believe some have already been withdrawn and there seems to be around 14 buses (excluding Solos) in Durham (according to bustimes) that have either been VOR all day or been pulled out. If they fix there fleet up don't see why they'd need to use them.

Well the figure of 19x E400MMC (excluding the extra X18s in the summer) does cover all of Ashington's 'X' routes as well as the 3x to make up the PVR of the X21/X22. Ashington could keep 7526-28 as spares.

That would then allow 7522 (already at Jesmond), 7524-25, 7529-33, 7553-56 to go to Jesmond for the 43/44/45 covering a total PVR of 12x.

These should boost the percentage of ANE vehicles with NSAs… I take it they’ll come with NSAs - is it a requirement now for any brand new buses?

Wouldn't be surprised if they did, Ashington's are all working on the X21/X22 as far as I'm aware where these are likely to be based.

Arriva Yorkshire / NE are usually quite innovate for Arriva with MAX etc which pretty much is the standard livery give or take compared to other areas. I believe the 17 plate MMC's in Yorkshire which weren't Sapphire got CCTV screens instead (assuming they weren't allowed back then as it would make Sapphire pointless as it's the only difference).

Arriva Merseyside aren't usually the most innovate as they didn't rollout MAX or Sapphire at all and they're repainting is worse than Arriva NE / Yorkshire (believe it or not).

The maintenance of them was a problem with Durham's NSAs. It took about 2 years to remove the embarrassing mistake of "Three Horse Hoes" from the programme on the 22.
