I didn't realise any SC Sunderland bus went into Park Lane, I thought they only came in when theyd been in an accident like someone broke a window or driver needed the toilet.
However there is a 16 board which pulls into Park lane once a day, anyone know why this is?

(20 Oct 2023, 10:51 am)deanmachine I think it was about May 2017. I only remember that as it's when I started working for GNE and it meant I had to walk to Fawcett Street to get my bus home, the E1, rather than getting it in Park Lane.

(24 Oct 2023, 2:59 pm)V514DFT That'll be about right, i had to get a party costume for my sons 5th birthday party from Sunderland, and i'd get off the Metro at Sunderland but get back on at Park Lane, and the E's were running into the Interchange back then, would of been end of March/ early April

Looking back at old timetables, it was the June 2027 changes when the Es were curtailed at Fawcett Street (4 June 2017)
When Park Lane Interchange first opened in May 1999 pretty much every Stagecoach service stopped there on their southbound run, with northbound service stopping in Vine Place.
Does anyone know when they stopped serving the interchange?

(01 Nov 2023, 6:44 pm)big mac To avoid having to pay the fees to Nexus to use the station. They do the same in Newcastle etc with most buses using Blackett Street etc instead of Eldon Square or the Haymarket.
