Those song's you secretly like
My Maths teacher put on some Abba today. He's into a load of old music (some better than others), and usually I would have objected to Abba...
I have to admit it proved to be quite a fun lesson - with many of the girls singing along and the like. This evening I even went home and put some Abba on Spotify.
Shameful lads, I know! :p

(10 Sep 2013, 9:12 pm)Andreos1 Suppose the teacher had to 'take a chance' by playing it.
Hope you said 'thank you for the music'
I hold my hands up and admit that although I love pun's, I am genuinely ashamed at knowing the song titles to Abba songs.
Blame too many boozy 70's nights when they where trendy way back when

(11 Sep 2013, 6:07 pm)AdamY I'm quite liking Example's All the Wrong Places at the moment.
Breakbeat, 90s style rave stabs, all that's missing is the classic rave piano.

(11 Sep 2013, 6:20 pm)Daniel Have you seen Example live? He's amazing.
When he came to Newcastle last year, me and my mates all went and he was just brilliant. The atmosphere was unreal.
I guarantee every person must have walked out of the Metro Radio Arena feeling like they were going to die, it was just so overwhelming.

(11 Sep 2013, 6:31 pm)AdamY No, I have not seen Example live.
To be honest I have very little interest in music these days with exception of a few dubstep/grime tunes, Disclosure and Crystal Castles. I'd heard of Example but I assumed, maybe incorrectly, that because he was mentioned in the same breath as N-Dubz and Tynchy (sp?) Stryder, that he was from that very same genre of uninspired crap I fleetingly catch on the radio.
However, I quite like this new Example tune.

(11 Sep 2013, 10:29 pm)aureolin I like the sound of this. Although it made me think of 'Pianoman - Blurred' before anything else. Musical treat for those of you too young to remember!

System F - Out of the Blue (and other Ferry Corsten produced tunes under various pseudonyms) is what got me back into trance/dance music circa 1999.
I used to like rave/house music when I was at school, but when it evolved into 'Happy Hardcore' and the generic commercialised nonsense which could be found on television channels such as 'The Box', personally, I thought it was crap. Ashamedly, I became a bit of a musical snob at this point, only liking bands which had people playing instruments and were highly recommended by the NME and other music magazines.
1999 (maybe 1998 too), in my opinion, represented a renaissance in dance music. From Binary Finary to System F to Gouryella (also Ferry Corsten) to Chicane it was all good.

Dont know whether I should be admitting this but I love Take That, saw them at Sunderland in 2009 and at the Croker in Dublin in 2011.
In the 90's I liked a bit Rave and these days like stuff like Ministry of Sound, Cream and Clubland.
I also like some Classical Music as well, about 10 years ago, I was on the verge of a complete nervous breakdown and my GP recommended some classical and opera music, so among my playlists is a bit Katherine Jenkins and normally a bit Classical for when I am feeling down and it destresses me

Cant get the sax solo out of my head.
Until I checked the lyrics out, was convinced she was asking to be spanked.
Anyway, we need more songs with sax solos!
