It was only after the failure of outside organisations to purchase advertising space, that the buzzfare wraps were introduced on a widespread basis.
Well you were right about them being new to Percy Main and Winlaton... but a number of them didn't move around for quite a while!
It would seem that 3801-04 were all new to Percy Main.
- 3801 did not transfer out of Percy Main until 2007, when it transferred to CLS.
- 3802's first transfer was out of CLS, so I suspect it transferred out of Percy Main prior to 2003.
- 3803 did not transfer out of Percy Main until 2008, when it transferred to CLS.
- 3804 as above.
It would also seem that 3858-3867 were also new to Percy Main, with 3868-3880 being new to Winlaton. The batch at Percy Main stayed put for quite some time, but the batch at Winlaton all transferred out of Winlaton to other depots (3868 to Percy Main, 3869-80 to CLS) in August 2004, so you weren't too far out with those. 3866/67 (the DFDS branded ones) have been at Percy Main all of their lives; minus a loan to Gateshead which was not noted on the Fleet Archive, 3858 has too.
This was during the period where a lot of contracts changed, and there was a lot of transfers around the region. GNE also acquired six Wright Merits (8261-66) for contracted services 1 and 27 at this time, allowing the Scania L94s previously allocated to go to Percy Main for Route 19.
There's a few repaints I want to clear up before updating the records, but I'll try and do that by tonight. Much like the Diamond B10 ones, I foofed a few of them up a bit!
