Is there any reason why these threads are taken up with items pasted from official companies websites, ie disruptions and diversions in Sunderland area. Anyone who has access to this website no doubt is an enthusiast and will also no doubt be viewing SNE, GNE and Arrfvas websites who have this information in any case, seems a bit pointless to fill up another database.

We cover every area on North East Buses. Pasting these news articles and disruptions allows for discussion on said items. Admittedly discussion doesn't usually stem off these news articles, but occasionally does.
You saying this is essentially like me saying, 'Why bother with GNE fleet news? We can see it on their enthusiast area anyway.'

Simply put: If you don't like something which is posted, ignore it.
Sunderland 33484 on 8s today, on xx:30 departures from town.

No Daniel. Its good that you point out it can lead to discussion but it takes a lot of space for something that is duplicated. Why not just put a title base around it all or something perhaps.

But it is good to have it explained
Fun MORE road works in the Sunderland area... Least their not doing it during school time.... They only done Gas Works on Homeside a few years back or is this for the New road network?
A Sunderland 39xxx series E200 is making a rare appearance on xx:30 departures from Sunderland on 8s today.
First time in a long while the service has seen something other than a Dart to my knowledge!

EDIT: Just caught up with the E200 (with my camera this time!), and the vehicle in question was 39730 (NK09 EWC).
Something rare in Sunderland for on‌ce =D

More road works in Sunderland area....

Sunday closures of Fulwell Grange junction, affecting Service E2 during August 2013 Service Update
During Sundays 11, 18, 25 August 2013, and possibly also Sunday 1 September 2013, Sunderland City Council will need to temporarily close the Fulwell Grange junction to allow for major resurfacing works.

Closures of Ashdown Road, Farringdon affecting Service 3 Service Update
During Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 August 2013, Sunderland City Council will need to temporarily close Ashdown Road in Farringdon to allow for road resurfacing works.

It's managed to stay on as well! It's rather uncommon for a 36xxx E200 to slip off onto the 8, nevermind 39xxx!
Better rare working than a Pointer 2 Dart slipping off onto a service which demands an ALX300 just because Sunderland's allocations are a lot more lenient than they used to be. :p
All we need now is the new Gas buses and the new Enviro's to arrive and were done

Can't wait for the old MAN's and Darts to go...

Be interesting to see where the new Enviro's go.

occasionally it sees use on interworked services 3/4/7/8 and x34

Also don't forget it was loaned to walkergate for a period earlier this year and was on X63

But majority of time in South Shields it operates 17 and 18

Same as 33492 usually 17 and 18 only now but very occasionally can be found anywhere on the shields network
Beach advertised E300 27740 is operating the late runs on service x34 this evening..pretty apt for Newcastle to Marsden beach. Just a shame the journeys are one way and no good for anyone wanting a late summer night on the sea front or anything.
Anyone requiring photos (or rides) of the remaining Olympians at Stockton depot, I suggest you make the trip very shortly - Hull have now received a fifth E400 from Manchester (at last some might say) with their remaining 5 due by the end of next week, which means 17028-31/3/4 should be joining 17025-7/32 at Stockton in the next few weeks.
Not long now before every stagecoach north east depot is low floor, shame cause their decent buses.

Did they end up at Sunderland straight away before or go to Teesside and then Sunderland? I really can't remember.

17025/6 came straight to Stockton and entered service as Hull had already repainted them prior to discovering they weren't keeping them (17028 is also repainted). 17027/32 were collected by Stockton drivers and taken to Stockton depot for a few days before moving to Sunderland for repaint. I would assume the same will happen this time round, with Stockton drivers collecting them and then them moving to Sunderland.
From Incidents on Teesside

If you are travelling by bus please take more time for your journey. Many services are suffering big delays - especially those that go into Stockton like the 13 and the 37.

Due to accident on A66
Yesterday's Teesside nightmare was due to a fatal Motorbike crash, resulting in near 2 hour delays to services.

Onto today, all 6 Olympians are out in service as followed:

16831/4 are on 13s, 16831 being the 1130 from Hemlington, 16834 being the 1117 from Salters Lane
16833 is on the xx32 35 working
16835 is on the 58
16836 is on the 12/14, next trip will be the 12 at 1201
16839 is on the 11, next trip will be the 1136

17032 is (so far) the only Trident out, and it too is on the 12/14, doing the 1124 14 then the 1221 12.
Good time to get pic's of the Olympians.. as Tony (not sure sorry) said, more trident's are due to arrive soon =(
Here's hoping Teesside are nice to me on Saturday! Likely to be my last venture out from Tyne & Wear (excluding bigger trips beyond the North East) until the end of August.
