Does Stagecoach Group own Busways? I always thought that the PTE owned Busways.

It began trading and was originally owned by the Tyne and Wear PTA (or ITA), following deregulation in 86. A few years after that, it was sold to the employees and management team. It remained that way until taken over by Stagecoach in 1994.

There is alot going on at Sunderland Depot this morning:
  • MAN ALX300 22664 (T664 OEF) has been removed from the far right workshop at the rear of the depot and was being attached to a green recovery truck at the front of the depot.
  • The workshop second to the right at the rear of the depot was also open, and MAN ALX300 22672 (V672 DDC) is currently located there. So I assume this may be going on its final journey to the bus breakers today as well.
  • MAN ALX300 22494 (T494 BNL) was idling at the rear of the depot, so I assume that will be taking 22664's and 22672's place in the far right workshop at the rear of the depot.
Why can't you make it so we can still comment on the previous month's postings? Daft that by 2nd April you can't comment on something from 31st MMarch. We can't all get on every day!

The forum has grown to such a large size that we have to split the threads monthly to ease the strain on the site. Large threads cause the site to run slowly, so this is the best way forward.

Discussion from the previous month can carry on as normal, regardless of which monthly thread it takes place in.
Ok. ok.
SC tweeting E services, X34 and X20 services have been cancelled due to Easter traffic.
Sounds like a comfortable journey on that E1Smile

No was just the 1615 from Newcastle yesterday. Due to traffic. Just remember that x34 will not operate today or Easter Monday so the only day it will be operating is tomorrow.

When the date changes, I no longer get any notification until I 'contribute'.

As I have 'nothing to say' (and the system will not accept an empty post), I decided to explain my action - unless anyone can suggest another way of subscribing and staying informed from one month to the next?

You can subscribe without posting. If you open up a thread, you can then scroll to the bottom and select 'Subscribe to Thread'. This won't appear in apps such as Tapatalk.

In Tapatalk specifically. Open up a thread and press the star icon at the top of the app to subscribe to that thread.

Thanks, I will try that (but I access from a laptop with a browser).
Why subscribe to a thread? I don't - I find it a lot easier just clicking unread posts at the top weather on the laptop or phone/tablet. Makes it much easier than going through sub forums etc.
Rush hour x34s late again. The 1645 from Newcastle has just swapped drivers with the 1620 from Harton Nook at Heworth Metro at 1725. Get your heads around that. Can only think is due to the driver of the 1620 being required for the late evening runs at approx 1825 from Harton Nook And he would have had no chance of doing so otherwise

Lead driver relieving drivers running late for breaks perhaps?

Brand new DDA buses at that, along with a larger batch of brand new buses heading to another North East depot in Summer.
