Considering it's Replacement was supposed to be 1906 I'm pretty sure the driver wouldn't have minded a solo all be it a small one

1906 would've been great on the "Sapphire" 7.Wink

4663 is still under repair at Gardiners.Angel
Just a suggestion which I doubt would ever happen but... If we are making the X21 Darlington - Sunderland a MAX service using Pulsar's, would it be worth making the 1/5/5A/12/19 fully EcoCity operated using 4801-4814 (combined PVR is 13), service 2 would get Pulsars to displace 4801-4808 to the 1/5/5A/12/19 along with 4809-4814.

This is just a thought, it would mean the 1/5/5A/12/19 would be fully EcoCity operated rather than half EcoCity, half Pulsar operated if the X21 goes MAX with Pulsars. Doubt that this would happen and I kind of hope it doesn't as I feel that the EcoCitys are a bit too slow for the 5/5A.
Rumour has it that OmniCitys 4653 and 4659 are transferring from Ashington depot to Darlington depot. Whether this is true or not I do not know - I hope it is.Smile

This rumour has been going around for a while now and it still hasn't happened.

I could see sense in it happening just in the sense that Darlington would then have all the Omnicitys (excluding 4660-4664) presumably if this were to happen Ashington would get 1406 and 1416, just a shame that losing 1406 at Darlington would mean no MAX spare with USB charging points for the X75/X76 and to a point the X1.

Whether this will actually happen, I don't know.

Dear god I hope this happens, 4653&59 have been nothing but trouble ever since they arrived at Ashington.

Look, if 4653 and 4659 are going anywhere it will be straight to Darlington depot in exchange for 1406 and 1416.Rolleyes

probably more sensible but I am just going to wait and see because when Arriva make plans they can change in a heart beat

How would putting them on the X20 be sensible? They can only seat about 36 and I personally think it's bad enough at times having 40 seater Omnicitys on there IMO. Also what would Stockton get in return, we already sent 4652/54/58 from Stockton to Darlington with 3 Pulsar's getting sent to Stockton in exchange to enable most of the Omnicitys to be based at one depot (Darlington).

I am sure that's why ashington have the b7 branded for that route and they planned that to happen and what has happened now they have changed it they are putting single deckers on. also if you think it is the same problem with the x16 having pulsars on there. so if pulsars can works for the x16 then they  can work the x20

Nobody has said that Pulsars can't work the X20, Jimmi said that 1923/4 wouldn't be sensible to put on there due to capacity.

Oh dear, a criminal offence is that. I hope it was taken out of service as soon as the driver realised...

Problem is, the 685 route is so long that it would have probably not been spotted until it arrives back in Newcastle unless a driver for one of the other companies in Hexham or Carlisle Bus Station points it out.

I remember losing mine off the car years ago. Was fortunate enough to be able to retrace my steps and find it lying on the floor of a car park.
The stickiness head worn off the sticky fixers. A lot neater than screwed on plates, but there is the risk of them falling off.

Yes that is true enough, when I hear about instances like this it makes me glad mine are screwed on.
Calling it a criminal offence is a tad of an overreaction, even the grumpiest of officers would struggle to be bothered to issue a penalty notice. Most likely they'd direct them to get the vehicle a new plate (without a set timescale)

The chances of the pulling service bus over for no front plate however range from not likely to never.
