"From 18 September 2017, major roadworks are planned on Felling bypass between Whitemare Pool and Heworth Interchange. This has the potential to cause significant delays to services. To ensure service X9/X10 continues to run reliably, they will not serve Testo's roundabout towards Newcastle from 18 September for the duration of the roadworks - which is expected to be around 6 months. Journeys towards Middlesbrough are unaffected. We apologise for any inconvenience caused because of this."

I havent checked out Gateshead Council website, but bearing in mind the road between the Black Bull and Heworth has been widened already, it must be the section around Wardley. The bus gate perhaps?

It was in the distant past.

The 58 did the route if I remember correctly.
Did the East Gateshead section to Gateshead and then went to Dunston/Teams.
[Pretend Ambassador's Quote is here..]

Or one of Stanley's single decker omnirattles.. Or even one of Stanley's Tridents either of which was allocated to the 21 over 10 years ago! How could I forget!

Which Venture SR has been repainted? It is good to see them finally being tidied up.

It was the last M7 to leave Stanley for Metrocentre.

641.

The entire batch will be repainted to tidy them up externally as all of them have seen better days. I would expect this to be treated as a minor re-branding exercise, too.

The final OmniDekka to be painted and branded up for the Toon Link group of services, 6124, has also now arrived at Saltmeadows Road.

Is 6124 planned to lose its side flipdot display while its there? Would look nicer if it was replaced by an LED.

Most of the staff don't mind working on a sunday ... it will be run with 4 Streetdecker .  Yes we used to do the X20 btween Durham and Bishop on a sunday but the timetable was impossible that's why it stopped.

The X21 on a sunday will be normal full route up the motorway (except via Elvet)

I think your getting mixed up wit 8325 as this is very slow, and groans unlike 8326, which is a lot quicker.

Because the 900 is being operated by Riverside and they don't have any
NK08CHF currently half done through refurbishment at the min.

Yes - both 6122 and 6124 were planned to have their flipdot displays swapped for LEDs last year but the depot never managed to get round to doing it, so they will be done at Saltmeadows Road instead (6124 now, and 6122 when it goes for re-trim).

6124's re-trim won't be done yet - it should return to Saltmeadows Road again next month.

But they have had buses transfer there. All buses there putting on only have 1 pushchair/wheelchair bay

Looks like they will be needing a replacement Versa for the 34/34A based on the amount of fire damage.
How the heck could that of happened

Makes me wonder how many more vehicles are allowed to go up in flames before London comes calling asking questions, 5233, trident from Stanley & Percy main, 4949, 4931?, and now 8303. All in the space of 3 years. Maybe a rethink of preventative maintenance!!

Whilst you may have a point, they are different vehicle types involved and possible different causes.
To think I used 8303 only a few weeks ago - Horrifying!
If anyones after 5292, it left Hartlepool Marina on the 1202 X5 to Sunderland

Yes I agree. Have driven both on the X21 over the last couple of weeks.

8325 poor
8326 decent

Very true but a costly occurrence never the less. Does the cause of the fire ever get found out, let's say oil leaking from somewhere in the engine bay, are all versas then checked and any repair carried out?,
