Are older E400s on 1 and 22 compatible with Clean Air Plans?

Thanks

Thanks

Both Walkergate and Sunderland's 196xxs have been undergoing exhaust modifications in recent months, with the E400Hs having also undergone similar emission work. As now, the Newcastle vehicles will be allocated onto the late running boards but obviously will be more concentrated to other services (i.e. not 39/40).

Providing what gets retained, deckers remaining in Newcastle across depots will be 193xxs upwards (with the exception of the Seasiders), and these which should be able to undergo similar emission work if and when needed.

The current Clean Air Plan for Newcastle looks set for 2021 so still time for further orders, cascades and trials of Euro modifications for Newcastle.
I see,its similar to when GNE's 5292 had a RTA,was missing for a while if i remember correctly
44017 (BV66GUC) seen today at Stockton - also present was new Sprinter WN69FYO
Hope they're going to put that strapline straight on the back of 44017!

What happened to 26280

Good to see Newcastle is getting some much needed investment. Hopefully they will also see off some of the older ALX300s at Walkergate too.

It was involved in an RTA a couple of months ago
On Victoria Bridge, Stockton, on its third day in service. Hit a pedestrian.
X24 and X34 suffering major delays today

Was that due to the Metros being off?

A mixture of that, Newcastle City Centre being gridlocked, a police incident on the Redheugh Bridge causing traffic to divert to the Tyne Bridge, and the A184 westbound being closed, no doubt.

Horrendous day for buses, yesterday.

Yup... tell me about it, we went for the 13:54 X24 from Hastings Hill and didn't get a bus till after 3pm... and then it went via the world due to roadworks, it was packed though, like every other X24.

I assume the additional ADL E400s would either be for Walkergate or Slatyford due to the Low Emissions Zone that may be coming into effect soon in the Newcastle area, they would be a replacement for the ADL E400s that were sent to Stockton, and would allow more MAN ALX300s and the remaining Kinetics to be withdrawn.

Hope so but i can't see it without a government grant, i remember someone from Stagecoach saying, they wanted to Make Sunderland fully gas.

What will happen with the X24 Omnilinks, have they received the modification's too?, if not hopefully 4 of Newcastles E400's move over to Sunderland for the X24.

Yes, ridiculous.

Steven Knight Media reporting that WN69FYO (and presumably the other new examples reportedly due for Tees Valley DRT) is a Sprinter 516 CDi, rather than the Sprinter City 45 model Stagecoach currently own as 44001-30. He also reports the start date for the DRT as January (rather than the originally expected December).
