It seems 5275 has had a thermal incident in Winlaton this morning.

Shame, as I would imagine someone would of bought it for preservation, as its the first one in the Citaro fleet number sequence.

And had new engine few years ago iirc
Must have been jealous of the attention that OmniDekka got!

Believe it got another new engine not that long since

Well it probs wont get another one now
Quite a few fires recently. Connected with all of the engine mods perhaps?
It would be interesting to know what fire control or suppression systems are installed (if any).
If the focus is purely on reducing emissions, improving fuel economy and monitoring driver behaviour - all at the apparent expense of several vehicles, I would be very surprised!

On a comment on the B7 post, Dan has confirmed that the 2006 OmniCitys are going up for sale in September but they don't have 2006 Omnicities, only 2007.

The only 2007 registered Omnicity is 5268, the remainder are all 2006 registered.

Hopefully it gets preserved into its original pink angel livery.
There’s something highly amusing about a sub brand of a company that had a turnover of £2.07billion flogging buses on Facebook.

Looks like only 1 of the 7 (6924) remain according to an update from Dan.. they sold quick.

I bet they said the same thing about billion pound companies selling things on eBay, now basically every shop has an eBay store!

If it works, it works, don't see the problem with it, its up to GNE how they want to sell their buses.
