Not neccessarily useful if you arent in to that type of thing but i found this user on youtube by accident:
https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC6N4qxGGrdacA82lT4K7Mxg

It doesn't cover every route and most routes were filmed in 2013 meaning that some route changes could have happened but even then, they are still enjoyable (even without sound!)

Wonder if Lothian will decide to run any services?, along with buying some of their buses and a depot?

I wonder if the recent arrival of West Coast Motors ops in the area has anything to do with this?

The likes of Perrymans et al can use this opportunity in some of the affected areas.

I could see Lothian buying Musselburgh Depot as it already has a handful of routes operating there already, The other one indeed I could see independent's having a go at.

Though if any depot is bought I can also see service frequency getting cut and later journeys too facing the axe.
Lothian Buses are currently in the process of repainting all of their E400H's into the standard Madder and White livery.
Another Open-top B5TL for Lothian has been spotted:

This one looks to be for the Edinburgh Tour as it features green (and it was said that the Majestic and Edinburgh Tours would be getting new livery designs to coincide with these new vehicles entering service on the respective tours).

It will be interesting to see what happens with Mac Tours in terms of vehicles - I can just think of 'Routemaster' so it will be strange to see what will replace them with the upcoming DDA deadline. Presidents, maybe?

A good proportion of the various tour buses did appear to be presidents, when we visited.

The Presidents have formed the Tour Bus fleet for quite a while now (apart from the couple of ALX400s on the City Sightseeing tour). They have probably spent the least amount of time on the Majestic Tour though which i think lost the Olympians last.

It would be nice if they could keep the Routemasters as a sort of novelty sort of thing as they have been on there for as long as i can remember. The next oldest thing in the fleet which could replace them is indeed the Presidents which, as you can imagine, is a heck of a jump from the 1950s/1960s to 1999/2000.

Not half the character, either.

I wonder what will become of the Necrobus? Will it get around the regulations by being registered as a private hire, vehicle, I wonder.
First routes and depots in East Lothian hhave been saved by 'new' company.
Lothian are setting up a new company, to cover the gaps left by the withdrawal of First ops.

East Coast Buses:

And more Lothian news:

The company seem to be introducing yet another new livery. Whether it is a trial or not but i am guessing it is something special given that they have just repainted a Hybrid E400 into the 'old' livery. Volvo B7TL 722 and Scania Omnidekka 987 have been done so far:

"East Coast Buses" is actually Lothian Country Buses renamed - the name change took place this week.  Registrations were submitted to VOSA yesterday for new services 107 and 124.

It's actually the company's new livery.   Smile

In related news Volvo B7TL 701 has been fitted with new front, side and rear LED screens.  The front and side ones show just the destination and service number.   Scania 989, which has just had repairs completed to it after suffering substantial fire damage four years ago, also has these new screens fitted.

The repairs to 989 have included a complete rebuilding of the rear.  The downstairs rear window has been replaced by a panel, while new flooring and seating have been fitted -   it now has retrimmed Lazzerinni seats  (same as fitted to the Tridents and Volvos) replacing the previous high-back leather ones.  It's  not yet re-entered service  though as I believe there are a few electrical problems that are still to be sorted out.
