First of twelve, still to gain full livery by the looks of it. The artists impression of them in old Eco-livery looked more appealing.
However I do like the Eco-City in new livery, so the missing vinyls may sway me!

Bizarre that the CityZap twitter page is yet to reveal the new destination, treating it as if nothing has been published yet.

Does anyone know when these are due to enter service? I believe it was expected to be the beginning of the month, but a query on a "read only" (to me) forum suggested they hadn't entered service by early last week and his/her question about when they would do, remains unanswered.

No sign of either (Stagecoach) RF's or Preston's E400MMCs yet as well..........

All that is stated on the Arriva Website is that they will enter service in October, no specific date given, I would think they won't enter service anyway until charging points are installed at the depot. -https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/north-west/Latest/New-fleet-of-electric-buses-arrive-in-Liverpool/
Not sure if this should come under Cumbria and North Lancashire geographically:

Looking to squeeze a couple of days out before the clocks go back and in the hope of time off work coinciding with reasonable weather. Is there anyone on this forum knowledgeable about Blackpool Transport? If so, can they advise the physical location of recently withdrawn Tridents, especially 339 (PO51 UMJ) and 347 (E14 BTS), as well as when the remaining ex IOM 'deckers are due to be withdrawn? I'm assuming this will be between the end of the Illuminations season and the end of Preston Rail Replacements (Jan/Feb?).
As regards withdrawn BTS buses; I know in the past some have been stored off-site at "Jackson's". Is this Jackson's Coaches on Burton Road, near the number 3 route? Or is it a completely different location?

Apparently, at least some were in service on Tuesday, but not yesterday.........and obviously not today.

Another site has published the link to the Transdev website announcing fares....and its good news; Full length journeys are £6 single; £9 return, with £9.50 Daytrippers also valid, and period fares also mentioned. Even more good news is that these are *walk on* fares. TPE will have a journey time and reliability advantage for commuters - but even weekend trains are overcrowded, despite "walk on" fares exceeding £20. Overall, I suspect NatEx will suffer - not least because their website is appalling. I asked for day return fares next Saturday and it insisted on giving me outbounds on Saturday night and returns on Sunday night! And with a frequent service, that involves a lot of scrolling back to find that it will only give you fares based on booking there and then, with an admin add on. I've not been to/through Leeds this year, but I would think their "walk on" fare would be around £12DR from Manchester.

It's been posted on the 'Transdev Enthusiasts' Facebook Group that the 'Witch Way' X43 will be upgraded and rebranded next year
Major news confirmed by Alex Hornby on his personal Twitter this morning - Rossendale Transport has been purchased by Transdev.

And majorly unsurprising!
Rossendale Transport officially becomes part of Transdev this Friday - 12th January. (Source: https://cbwmagazine.com/rosso-sale-transdev-confirmed/).
Transdev Rosso

The fleet is now in the process of being renumbered into the Transdev series. The main pointes are:
The Solos have been numbered before the Keighley examples
The 5 Dart SLFs are numbered following on from the Keighley MPDs
The Streetlites are now numbered after the Burnley examples (which are due to join the Rosso fleet soon anyway)
The Scanias have become 1600-16
The Volvo B7RLEs are numbered from 1706 onwards - the ex-Lancashire United examples are now 1726-34 (originally 1816/22/4/6/9/32/3/5/6)
The Volvo deckers are all numbered in the 27xx series - the Presidents follow on from the ex-National Express examples at Harrogate. The Wright-bodied examples follow on from the 'Witch Way' B9TLs - with the ex-Coastliner Sextet are now 2791-6 (formerly 411/2/4-7)

These examples being 36100 - 36104 to replace Darts on Lakes services 505, 508 and 516 at Kendal. 4 are to be based at Kendal and 1 at Penrith, with 6th example hoped to land around April/May. This will enable Darts to transfer to the training fleet.

All examples will be first heading to Carlisle for a full refurbishment and will be gaining the same livery as the 555 E400MMCs.

Confusing timing; When querying why so many E200s were going into reserve at Manchester a month or so back, the suggestion was they were for tenders expected to be gained. It then transpired that these tenders were not to be awarded to the extent originally intended, and that renewals in the same area (Stockport & South Manchester) were actually lost to other Operators. Then today, notice to TFGMC recommends that a revised/reduced version of the original new tenders are recommended to be awarded after all, and that these are natural fits for Stagecoach as at least one involves diverting an existing SGM service.
Mind you, there are still 40 or so single deckers (+ 3 Tridents) slowly decomposing in the yard at Wigan, that could be re-instated if even PVS don't want them.............

Slightly more on this; TFGMC meet on Friday (9th) to discuss April service changes, including a few options regarding existing contracts between Stockport, South Manchester and Trafford, all of which are primarily run with Enviro 200s. These options (alongside others amongst the 150 or more service changes across the county) could result in a reduced, unchanged or even increased PVR for either Stockport depot alone, or Stockport and Sharston combined. Middleton depot is also involved in this equation and potential elsewhere. Consequently, I doubt anything involving the Manchester fleet will be decided until next weekend at the earliest.
The E200s are due to get picked up today and tomorrow, they have decker replacements coming in for them.

Sorry, can you clarify? Are *Manchester* expecting 'decker replacements? If so, do you have any details?

It's a bit up in the air where from, but nothing imminent. Possibly Yorkshire but depends on how 2018 orders pan out.

Hmm, things could get a bit messy in more ways than one - apart from the uncertainty over Tender commitments, which will only be resolved over the weekend at the earliest, there have been two further developments.

Firstly, E400, 10014 turned up at Hyde Road yesterday and was apparently seen with destinations set for service 205 - which just happens to pass the end of my road (lol).

Secondly, and more negatively, Hyde Road's MMC 10487 ran into he back of hybrid 12207 opposite TFGM HQ this morning injuring 15 people, and notwithstanding the police investigation. 10487 looks likely to be VOR for some time having received extensive front end damage. OTOH, Universities break up a fortnight on Friday, so that should create a bit of spare capacity. Maybe 18148 could be re-instated pro-tem (lol).

It was heading to Green Urban at Millbrook for some engine testing prior to possible modifications to Euro 6, but stopped off at Hyde Road en route. Turns out they decided to use it in service and looks like Manchester have sent one of their own instead, using 10014 in service in its place. It's due back at Morecambe today.

Moved to the right thread.

The livery worn by 610 is the new livery for 'Tottington Line' service 469.
Sister 611 has been repainted into two-tone Orange for services 467/468 (Rochdale to Bury).
36100 is the first E200 to be unveiled in 'Lakes Connections' livery

Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire, currently have a Volvo 7900E full electric demonstrator, on loan.

Anyone know how long?, Hopefully it comes to the North East

Have to say, it looks smart.

We would need to install some pantographs along a bus route the vehicle would be used on along with charging points at the depot first.
Very quiet in Greater Manchester at the moment with just three relatively minor fleet developments in the absence of any expected new buses in the coming Financial Year.

1. The only 18 regd buses in the county seem to be five E200s acquired by Manchester Airport to operate a controversial new shuttle service to avoid a new "drop off" charge scheme. These are YX18 KYA/B/C/E/F.

2. Stagecoach Manchester have received ex Barnsley E400s 19562-5 (and possibly 19566). This is presumably to cater for a slight increase in PVR caused by MagicBus service changes in September. No allocation details are known, but it seems likely that these 5 buses will allow 5 slightly older examples to (re?) transfer back to the MagicBus fleet.

3. The above MagicBus changes are due to funding withdrawals from existing services 141 (MagicBus from West Didsbury to MMU Birley Campus) and 147 (Bullocks from MRI complex to Piccadilly Station). Stagecoach have decided to divert the 141 away from Birley to extend to Piccadilly Station as service 147. Service levels will also increase, but being a MagicBus (ie. non-hybrid) service, it won't enter MRI grounds.
As a result of Bullocks withdrawal from the service - and thus local services per se - their 4 Volvo hybrids have gone to Lothian, in exchange for 6 of the latter's Ominicities. The first of these, SN57 DBU is already in service on the 147, helping cover the remaining duties before the service ceases on 31st August. This particular bus arrived all white and had been VOR at Lothian for some time after extensive fire damage. It is anticipated the other 5 will arrive ready for the school term (school work is retained) and in turn they will replace ex Arriva DAF DB250s. At least two of the latter have been retained over August - again to cover 147s.

Have they already got them down that way?, not too sure on the fleet down there, that's all.
