Never thought of that, anyone on board or en route confirm if it is an EY vehicle

Confirmed, it is 7130
Thanks, saved me a trip with camera.

Anyone know what happened to the X11 tonight. It seemed 7128 went to Middlesbrough but then 7153 took over to Scarborough

But it didn't seem to track on it way back to Newcastle. Wondering if it was a tracking issue or it broke down and East Yorkshire had to send a replacement up

If you actually check, nothing tracked between half 4 and 9 on Bus Times - so 7153 will have worked back.

7128 had an issue on the way down, so when it got to Boro, it was swapped it for 7153 which was on the X9/X10 and then played swapies with the vehicles on X9/X10 to maintain a service until Riverside could attend
Levante 7128 has been branded for the Seasider / X11 - see: https://www.facebook.com/groups/18720389...327398331/

n.b. you'll need to be a member of the 'North East Bus Enthusiasts' facebook group to view the photo, but Lee might be feeling generous and share it here too

Looks smart given what could realistically be done in the few weeks since the Levante was put on there. Shame they couldn't continue to send the mobile billboard which is the Interdeck, but obviously understandable given they're needed on the X9/X10.
Looks really smart
Like many of their liveries, it could do with having the route number written on it so people don’t see it and think, “Oh look we could get that X10 [in this case] to Scarborough”.

Is that not what a destination display is for?
Does the lavante have a loo on board?

Seen at Heworth on its return trip, was replaced by 7132 at Gateshead.

Seeing it arrive into Newcastle with ‘The Gate via St Mary’s Place’ or ‘Newcastle’ on the screen, you’d assume it (X10 in this case) had came from Whitby/Scarborough and would be going back there. That’s what the route branding says. So no, the destination screen wouldn’t help in that case.

It’s only when the service number is included in the branding that is isn’t as confusing when they’re allocated to other services as the branding can then act as an advert for that vehicles usual route.

7128 is branded for a service which runs daily, and is the only one of its type to be branded for it. It shouldn’t appear on other routes.

Except it did?

But it shouldn’t have. Planning to fail if you say that you’ve got to put the route number on the livery of every bus ‘just in case’ it goes on the wrong route.

Call it planning to fail or call it having the foresight to plan for all eventualities. A route number wouldn’t take up much room.
I wasn’t talking about this Seasider coach alone. We all know branded buses end up on other routes from time to time, or on early morning services or on Sundays. It happens. Just a suggestion.
I'm guessing the 'livery' was an internally designed quickie?

I actually quite like the simplicity of it

Weren't people slagging off ANE for having Whitby and Scarborough plastered on the side of their X93 allocation?
Anyone who boards a bus solely on the colour of it, without asking the driver, looking at the front (or side, or back) probably deserves to end up in Middlesbrough

Apparently in early 2020 when 7609 was at Blyth GNE passengers were trying to board it thinking ot was  a 309 everytime it was on the 308, won't be surprised if the same happened when it returned in late 2020 with 7610.

No, I was slagging them off for it looking like a 5 year old made it with WordArt!

At the moment it runs daily but would it not be going back to being a weekend and bank holiday service in the autumn? Or will it not run at all during the autumn and winter months?

No, it was designed by Beacon Creative.

Due to extra popularity of our X11 Scarborough Seasider service today we’re sending an extra vehicle for customers waiting from The Galleries onwards. Please look out for a gold double decker coach provided by our friends
@jhcoaches that’s now on its way. Apologies for the delay.

X11 popular again today!
Looks like 7128 finished at Middlesbrough and the Jh coach took over
