Tridents X363NNO and V178MEV on the 535 Shields Ferry replacement today.

Bagged V178MEV for haulage...what a monster.

Ferry replacement is on until the end of the week, runs every 30 minutes during daytime.

Think they've been trying to sell these buses pretty much since they ceased operation of Nexus service 33 in July.

I did see one of the MCV Evolutions in use on Wednesday on a private hire.

Nice to see it back in South Shields where it was based for a while with Stagecoach North East for use on Economic services when they were Olympian operated

Seems crazy that they were so reliant on one contrac for a sizeable proportion of their fleet

The Evolutions were on the Ferry Replacement yesterday when the deckers were on scholars. 238 remained on throughout the whole day until 1700 where it was 248 and 249 only

It appears that, after doing the 794, the bus heads to the Stanley Travel depot where it is stored overnight, presumably for positioning purposes for the morning 794.

Kingsley's have lost the 794 contract it will be taken over by Stanley Travel from 3 September 2017.
Some of the school service boards have a capacity within the scope of a single deck vehicle so the Versa is likely to be deployed on various school runs.
