Saw a different one, last week, but at a different time - a black H reg DAF single decker. It's quite unusual, but unfortunately I can't remember the exact registration and I've not been able to find a picture of it or any reference to it, from the description.

Sorry I've not visited this end of the forum for ages! If it was along with the black H221TCP DAF Ikarus then they'll both be Pygalls Coaches. Didn't realise they'd added so many double decks to their fleet!

V5TYL will be Style Travel of Peterlee

I was headed in the opposite direction, so didn't really get a proper look.

The reg I scribbled down was S857 OGX. That doesn't tally with anything online unfortunately.

This would be S847DGX which has recently joined the fleet at Pygalls in Peterlee.

Not too far off the reg. Not close enough to track it down either like...
It didn't seem in bad nick from what I could see.

Yep, I saw the daf again, a couple of weeks ago and got the full reg, that time
Only found one very old pic of it online, which I linked to in the pygalls thread!

Curious that absolutely everything apart from the windows had been sprayed black, even the radiator grille!

There's this one which shows it just before sale to Pygalls.

Two white Metrocity's heading north on A1 just now. Should have just passed Washington Services.
Spotted a B10 in First livery heading east along the A174 about an hour ago.
The 'city' part of the livery had been removed unfortunately.
It had a flip dot display, showing 'Private'.

Someone's for restoration or something for one of our Teesside independents?
Two TfL E400's on lowloaders heading north on A1 last night. Didn't get id unfortunately

Do you know whereabouts on the A1? I wonder if they were heading to Thornton's.

Thornton's did jump to mind.
When you drive that road as much as I do, it sort of blends in to one.
Guessing it was somewhere between Catterick and Durham.
Saw a dart on the A1 today. First time was sometime before 11, travelling northbound and left the A1 at the Seaton Burn roundabout. Second time it was on the back of an Ian Bradley tow truck travelling southbound seen near the Kingston Park slip road at around 16:50

The livery was all over orange and I could not see any fleetnames. Not sure who this may belong to.

My guess would be PCL Travel

I noticed that Dart this afternoon joining the A19 from Seaton Burn at 14:40 all of a sudden smoke started coming from the engine bay to the point I was unable to read the number plate. The Dart had to pull over to the side of the road and the driver (looked to be an engineer) quickly vacated the vehicle.
There was no branding on the vehicle apart from an easy access sticker on one of the off side windows the shade of orange looked similar to the Sainsbury's branded bus that Arriva had in Whitby.
Was it a MPD or a larger Dart? I ask as I have seen a photo on Facebook of Arriva MPD 1759 in Blyth depot this afternoon. Judging by the mention of Easy Access stickers, it sounds like it was 1759.

Yes it was an MPD, that all makes sense then. Never though of 1759, wonder why it was at Blyth?
Blyth do PSV tests if other depots aren't available. There's been Sapphire Pulsars from Durham there in the past.
Saw an Alx200 parked on someone's drive in Liverton.
More or less opposite the Waterwheel Inn.
Didnt manage to get it id'd unfortunately.
Any ideas?
Was coming into Gateshead on the X24 from Sunderland this afternoon when I spotted former Tower Transit VWN32398 (LK54 FNP) parked up at Dynamix Skate Park - https://www.flickr.com/photos/adammalark...ed-public/

I think that's the one that featured on a George Clarke TV show recently.
They showed the conversion from a standard decker to a learning environment.
Might be available on More4 to catch.
