You will need a zone A + B + C ticket for this journey. That allows you to travel anywhere on the metro or shields ferry. The cost is £5.10 for an adult day ticket.

Saturday 4 August 10.30pm: Tomorrow no trains will operate across the network after about 10.30pm depending on the station. Replacement bus services will not be provided as it is not possible to source sufficient buses and drivers at this time of night to provide a viable replacement service across the network.

It looks like they've dropped out?, that seems to be the message from them, as it says NO trains will run system wide.

Even the metro doesn't know what's happening tonight!
4 August - No trains will run systemwide after about 10.30pm until about mid morning on 5 August (times vary depending on location). Replacement buses will only be running between Four Lane Ends and Monument (via Whitley Bay).

UPDATE: Ticket acceptace has been extended to bus 56 and 9.

We currently have no trains running between Monument and South Shields in both directions due to a power fault. We have ticket acceptance on the following Go North East services: 27, X10, 58, Q1 and Q2. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Just read on another forum that 4082 and 4033 have lost Emirates livery. They are now back in standard livery. Also some major work is being done to 4040 so I expect that will also lose Emirates livery.
