Could replace the horrid 5165 I suppose, which could be withdrawn.

I don't believe there are any plans to withdraw 5165 just yet. It will most likely be withdrawn at the end of this year.

Going back to the topic of 4840s registration, I know its history but how did the registration become so significant to GNE? Basically, how did GNE get the registration or if they had it made specially created what was the reason behind it? If anybody knows of course, im not saying you're a bunch of historians Tongue

Thanks, I am trying to round up pictures, but mainly what I want to know is why did they decide to keep it for future use like they are now?

I think with the B10BLE withdrawels, they probably go for the vehicles that are in a worse state.

A bit more logic to it than that, given that there's no huge differences in the performance of the earliest Renowns in the fleet.

RE: Go North East - Latest - Kuyoyo - 03 Mar 2014

Due to a major RTC on Gateway Bridge in Hartlepool (bridge prior to the Marina) the X35 will not be operating to the Marina and will likely be terminating at Victoria Road (using the terminal loop used by Arriva services 23/57a, which their 22 is also doing).

RE: Go North East - Latest - Dan - 03 Mar 2014

5207/08 both out in service today so won't be getting branded.
5209 is at Park Lane now with an engineer at the wheel, so they may do that one instead.

According to the twitter feed, the x35 is diverting along Victoria Road by the Hartlepool ground

(02 Mar 2014, 6:56 pm)Marcus wrote Possibly a few Renowns can be sent onto driver training and let all of those coaches go, what I've never understood is that the drivers train in a COACH but go on to drive a BUS, if you know what I mean.

The vehicle you take your test in has to be a certain length (can't remember what though off the top of my head).

I'd assume the logic would be that you learn in the biggest that there is so that you don't come across anything bigger than what you've learned in when you're on the road?

Got to be at least 10 metres long:

One of the driver training coaches is also GNE's last manual transmission bus - a 'plus' for those who pass their test in it!

Will the red spares B9TL's also receive the WIFI stickers, same with the red Versas, do these have any mention of WIFI anywhere inside/outside.

RE: Go North East - Latest - Diamond One - 03 Mar 2014

Citaro 5334 has been transferred from Percy Main to Peterlee for Wear Tees Express.

SPDs 8221, 8239 and 8241 have been withdrawn.

SPDs 8216, 8223, 8224, 8225, 8227, 8232, 8235, 8236, 8237, 8238 and Dart 8289 have been sold to Ensign Bus Co.

I think it's 15 metres but I can't remember exactly either.

(25 Feb 2014, 6:55 pm)Dan wrote Have sent an e-mail... Added a few more myself too.
Hopefully get it fixed for next Monday, but not promising anything. Wink

6080 has had its upper front window "TEN" logo removed in favour of a "Free Wi-Fi" logo. Think this will become fleet standard.

Nothing a single thing has been changed and all of the mistakes remain there!

The manual gearbox is the critical issue.
It makes sense to go for manual that then covers automatics, too.

As for 5204, I'm wondering if it's been officially allocated to the laser? As a dedicated spare. Hence it's laser colouring I've seen it 5 times on laser, but rarely on anything else. I seen you said it was on laser also today.

Don't think so - it really does appear on anything and everything. I've seen it a lot on service 29 - as pictured here on March 1st.

Possibly but I always thought the whole point of the fleet allocation file thing was to tell you what buses are at what depot and what livery they are in, 5204 is not branded 'Laser' so I would maybe suggest that this is a mistake. Also, Stanley based Olympian 3829 doesn't sound too healthy now, I think if it was a living thing it will be relieved to be withdrawn and scrapped, I don't think it will be much use to other companies, like 3814.

Quite right. I'll keep you all informed of the outcome of my e-mail - it may just be that the recipient of the e-mail has a number of other things to catch up on before getting to my e-mail.

I'm just playing devils advocate like, often see it on 35s mind if it supposed to be a 'dedicated spare' they can't keep the laser branded vehicles on route so the fleet liveried spare isn't going to stay on consistently! :p

Hopefully not a repeat of #NEBFavourite 4920 on the Silver Arrows :p

Bit of guess work, but I think Simplicity is Avid Pro Demi, Quaylink is Equip Condensed ExtraBold, and Venture is Radikal Black...
