Would it not be beneficial to try and secure a heritage vehicle to operate the 128, say on the first weekend of every month? Do Beamish have anything that is class 6 mot'ed to use? Would NEBPT get involved? 

At the moment if I was going to have a day at Beamish I would drive but if a heritage vehicle was used say on the first weekend of the month then I would use the 128, would others though?

(28 Mar 2015, 12:32 pm)Jimmi wrote It would be brilliant but the 128 is a normal passenger service so it has to follow some rules, one big thing that would not make this possible is the upcoming DDA deadlines with single deckers needing to be DDA by the end of this year and double deckers at the end of next year.

Also I'm not sure but I think it would be tricky getting preserved vehicles to operate a normal passenger service as it would need ticket machines for a start.
