RE: Destination Displays - tcts24 - 04 May 2022 I'm just about old enough to remember "Service" being a popular destination for buses. Constantly on display on bus blinds and there's a rugby club with the same name! https://www.northernfootballclub.co.uk/ RE: Destination Displays - tcts24 - 05 May 2022 (04 May 2022, 8:30 pm)Andreos1 wrote I was convinced 'Northern' was a place! Now you mention it, I forgot Wear Buses frequently went to 'OK Travel'. RE: Destination Displays - ne14ne1 - 24 Sep 2022 First time I’ve noticed a route name on the destination screen: https://flic.kr/p/2nNJZ2i RE: Destination Displays - streetdeckfan - 24 Sep 2022 (24 Sep 2022, 3:20 pm)ne14ne1 wrote First time I’ve noticed a route name on the destination screen: Honestly, I think that is a great use of the double height display, especially when the wrong branded vehicles are operating on the route! Now I've got used to seeing the double height displays on the X21 with them using the StreetDecks, every time I see one of the B5s it looks crap, there's so much wasted black space above and below! But also they're great when a bus is on diversion too RE: Destination Displays - Aaron21 - 25 Sep 2022 On the 58 it shows East Gateshead Rider Market Street RE: Destination Displays - Unber43 - 29 Oct 2022 Just seen a photo of 5327 its missing half of its front display. https://www.flickr.com/photos/189582233@N06/52463177620/in/feed-189536911-1667064977-1-72157721642903738 RE: Destination Displays - F114TML - 30 Oct 2022 Been like that for at least a week - surprised it's out in service tbh , as if it weren't a colour RN display, that wouldn't be showing any route number at all. RE: Destination Displays - ne14ne1 - 20 Apr 2023 Is it just me or does it seem to be taking GNE a lot longer to transfer all of the front destination numbers back over to the right side than it did when they moved them to the left. RE: Destination Displays - Unber43 - 20 Apr 2023 Yeah..i've noticed that. 5375 is the only one out of all the drifters not to have it moved. 3941 is another one. With a couple of Ex-Saltwell Parks aswell. RE: Destination Displays - Unber43 - 20 Apr 2023 It seems to be that a lot of them were done overnight and the ones which weren't were forgot about, atleast at Deptford. RE: Destination Displays - ne14ne1 - 15 May 2023 Surprised to see new services programmed with the number on left side. https://flic.kr/p/2oAnT1N https://twitter.com/gonortheast/status/1658058438385999873?s=46&t=tPuGEygnn6BhKgNFiA4yAw I thought GNE were (very slowly) changing all numbers back to the right side. Despite the deceiving livery that first photo was only from a few days ago max. Just realised there are two photos in your op. I just clicked on the 82 image. But yeah, the Merc is recent. RE: Destination Displays - omnicity4659 - 15 May 2023 smaller screens on the mercs are the same size as some rear displays i believe, hence why they're on the left RE: Destination Displays - ne14ne1 - 15 May 2023 (15 May 2023, 1:59 pm)omnicity4659 wrote smaller screens on the mercs are the same size as some rear displays i believe, hence why they're on the left Small screens can’t be programmed to have their numbers on the right? RE: Destination Displays - S813 FVK - 15 May 2023 (15 May 2023, 2:51 pm)ne14ne1 wrote They can, but would require an additional screen set up in the software. May have decided not worth doing for how many buses have that size of display at the front. Appears to be a similar story with 6177-6182. Their numbers still on the off-side as same size as the Solo rears RE: Destination Displays - Retro Nero - 22 May 2023 (15 May 2023, 11:05 am)ne14ne1 wrote Surprised to see new services programmed with the number on left side. Now on the right after an update RE: Destination Displays - streetdeckfan - 22 May 2023 (22 May 2023, 5:58 am)Retro Nero wrote Now on the right after an update Imagine wasting time moving some numbers when they're still down drivers at Riverside! /s Sent from my SM-F721B using Tapatalk |
