None for a half hour. Would love to know the excuse behind that one (beside we can't plan properly for fireworks or match day traffic) Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - TEN 6083 - 05 Nov 2016 Anyone know what was happening with the X21's today as I was waiting at Durham for one to Bishop Auckland as one Newcastle bound came out of the bus station as I was the going into it then about 5 minutes later another Newcastle bound X21 came in. This was at around 1pm. Surely you've just answered your own question there - Saltwell Fireworks and match day traffic. How would you like GNE to plan for it? It isn't really practical to have a different timetable for each special event happening otherwise there would be a different schedule every day of the year RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - citaro5284 - 05 Nov 2016 (05 Nov 2016, 8:50 pm)Crusader wrote Surely you've just answered your own question there - Saltwell Fireworks and match day traffic. It isn't really practical to have a different timetable for each special event happening otherwise there would be a different schedule every day of the year At the same time, Saltwell Park Firework display happens every year, so this should be taken into account and even have extra buses/drivers on standby to assist without having to put a different timetable in would help. It's all the time, not just tonight, From now to January the already massively unreliable 21 will be even more so unreliable. Turn around buses at gateshead, direct passengers to specific F1 services They need to increase the 21 pvr, invest more in passenger support, they cannot maintain a fictional 7 min frequency , on a counter more dirty unreliable B7s aren't acceptable to passengers They've a near monopoly on Durham Rd and they act like it, RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - Ryan99 - 05 Nov 2016 (05 Nov 2016, 9:32 am)Dan wrote It will be allocated to service 238 for the time being. What about vykings 3978-82 RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - Malarkey - 05 Nov 2016 3964/3983/6084 & 6133 were on the F1 to Saltwell Park this evening, I believe 3972 iirc was supposed to be allocated also but incurred a fault on the layover at Gateshead Interchange. What monitoring have you undertaken to make a statement that the 21 is massively unreliable and a 7 minute headway cannot be maintained? Have you checked all of the bus departure times against the timetables over a number of days, or are you just talking about a few trips you have seen/used? I know that GNE have put a lot of effort into improving the reliability of the service recently and whilst there will always be sometimes it doesn't run well for whatever reason, it is now very reliable. I'll give you the point about the B7's though, they're awful RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - Dan - 06 Nov 2016 (05 Nov 2016, 9:08 pm)Ryan99 wrote What about vykings 3978-82 They remain allocated to scholars / Misc Works services - which no longer interwork with service 9. I think each board on the 9 runs like this #1 Sunderland-Jarrow #2 Jarrow-Sunderland #3 Sunderland-North Shields #4 North Shields-Jarrow #5 Jarrow-North Shields #6 North Shields-Sunderland RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - Ambassador - 07 Nov 2016 First proper ride on 6140 doing the honours on the 21. Firstly, good ride, nice power and some added variety. However, the trim on the seats is absolutely shocking, something I'd expect from GCT or a school bus company. Seats are dirty and completely worn, many are torn to bits, especially on corners. Really disappointing they've been allowed to enter service like this, especially on a high profile route RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - November 2016 - LeeCalder - 07 Nov 2016 Does Chester'a 885 run onto anything?
