There's quite often a correlation between the day/time a publicity event takes place and how busy the location tends to be. The X66 launch was held on a Saturday, as the Metrocentre tends to be busier on Saturdays than weekdays. I'm led to believe the market at Chester-le-Street is busier on a Friday than a Saturday, which is presumably why Go North East has opted for the Friday event at this location.
