Yeah it's just a nice little extra that doesn't really cost much and the staff appreciate that management actually acknowledge them...

Well I know I've been speaking to Dan about this tonight but recently the enjoyment hasn't been there for me to go out and take photos... mainly because of my huge backlog of photos! Well today I've finally cleared the thousands of pictures I took on my trip to the Shires area last summer with the final completion of upload of photos from London... Onwards and upwards!

Fathers Day.

Getting to spend time with the little Constantopolouses and appreciating the hand-made stuff they had made for me.
Showing appreciation for old man Constantopolous, who has been there during sh!tty, tough times.

Had my first driving lesson today, and it went really well.

Perhaps I shouldn't joke about red Seat Leon drivers as much, as it's not as easy as it looks from the passenger seat!

One of the apprentice engineers who I get on well with highly recommended an instructor, and as I wasn't busy with exams and suchlike any more, I had no excuse! Really like the instructor - down to earth and says it exactly how it is. Can't wait for next week now - watch out Sunderland!

They'll have the X20(or 20) though won't they?

X18 times don't work very well with those of the trains, if I recall correctly.

Nor will the X20, people will still have a 50 odd minute wait if they've missed the bus. Having a service every half hour improves the chances of connecting to a bus from the train.

How often do these trains run like? Can't imagine they'd stop at Alnmouth more than hourly?

Also, don't Spirit operate to the train station at peak times, so that they meet any train bang on?

About half hourly combined.

4 trains an hour in both directions.

I haven't said much in this thread recently so I am going to positively about some little things...

Received an email from a clothing website giving me 15% off anything for a few days as I haven't bought anything from them for months.

I've hit 150 followers on Flickr today (obviously not for the deleted Jimmi's Random Photos photostream) which is nice and seem to be getting decent views and favourites recently on many of my photos which makes the photo taking a bit more worth while. I know most of you on Flickr have loads more followers but I am not too bothered about that now and I am fairly happy with what I've got so thanks to those who follow/view my Flickr [emoji2]

I've been at my mothers helping her clear out the house.

Found a load of my old bus books from 25 years ago in a box in a cupboard under the stairs.

Surrounded by old PSV Circle, DJS and TAG fleets lists along with a pile of old Tyne & Wear PTE bus timetables.

The Virgin Trains East Coast staff at Newcastle, Central Station are excellent. Trains were delayed by over two hours due to a person being unfortunately struck by a train just north of Berwick. Passengers were obviously baffled as trains were being terminated at Newcastle and sent back down to London with only a couple of services heading Northbound. But, Claire, Malcolm, Jolene and other station staff were fantastic at keeping people informed and up to date.

Well done all at Central Station.
