Will the new V7/V8 mean that the Venture SRs will be fitted with WiFi like the indiGo Solos? I would think it would be viable.

I would hope so, seems daft not having it, this new V7/V8 route is a good reason why the brand should.

When the changes occur, the Venture network will be made of shorter and longer routes, much like the IndiGo network which has recently received WiFi, so I feel that the Venture network should also get the benefit of free WiFi.

There has to be a business case for it as each unit is not that cheap, then the data charge on top of that each month.  I doubt that Venture will get wifi soon.

The Stanley network map:

Note that the 78A will still serve High Handenhold unlike the 8/8A. Haven't stopped the 16A at Stanley either.

Just saw the promotional animation for the new 16 / 16A and new 6 on FB. The latter showed a Gemini 2. Howay, are there any red buses parked up in Scarborough or for that matter, silver ones parked up in Northern Ireland?

Wonder if that's a mistake?, would seem daft not to keep the 15 minute frequency from Stanley.

It is. Only the 16 will continue from Stanley to Castleside. That way the current frequencies are kept.

It has already been confirmed that the 6, X70 and X71 will interwork using Omnidekkas. The B9 is just there for illustrational purposes.

Post in question though: https://www.facebook.com/simplyGNE?fref=ts

Timetable for X32 is now available on traveline. This service is not serving Kibblesworth. According to the stopping points listed it is Ouston then Team Valley. Shame that.

The changes are in 2 and a half weeks. Need to pull their finger out frankly.

Just spoken to someone on GNE live chat asking about the Stanley changes timetables, they said they 'should' be available by the weekend.
I can image that behind the scenes these changes involve alot of hard work, hopefully for the better once things get going!

Judging by Traveline, it seems I was right about the 45/46 running 10 and 20 minutes apart with the 47 being sandwiched in-between to create a 10 minute frequency between Newcastle and Rowlands Gill.

Here is how the daytime frequency will work from Eldon Square.

00 mins - Service 45
10 mins - Service 46
20 mins - Service 47
30 mins - Service 45
40 mins - Service 46
50 mins - Service 47

Other changes are now also on Traveline.

Think i'm right with the New PVR's...

Stanley PVR’s

6/X70/X71 – 10 PVR
16/16A – 9 PVR
30 – 2 PVR
V7/V8 – 3 PVR
X30/X31 – 6 PVR

Also tried to do Gateshead:

11/11A/96 – 7 PVR
12/12A – 5 PVR
64 – Found the timetable, honestly, what a pointless service, 8 minutes for the route and its hourly, probs interwork with another service…
49/49A – 10 PVR - 49B looks to be replaced by the 49A.
95 – Can’t find the service on Traveline yet.
97/97A/X97 – 8 PVR

Anyone wondering what the X66 change was, this has appeared: (the time of the service is for 12pm)

X66 - Gateshead (centre) Metro Interchange Std G, Teams Team Street Sw, Teams Team Street W, MetroCentre Handy Drive Bus Depot ,MetroCentre Bus Station-Std C

V7/8 PVR is three as it's a 43/44 minute journey continuing to Fines Park or Sheridan Drive.

And the 45/46 timetable is a weird one, with long layovers at Consett. The 6/X70/X71 interworking has done away with the excessive layovers there on X70/71, replaced by long ones on the Red Kite.
Greg in Weardale   07 Oct 2015, 3:14 pm
Trying to work out the Gateshead interworkings and PVRs has given me brain ache, so I've given up. Traveline is a really shit website.

A good move. The Red Kite has always been a good one for buses running in twos etc.

It is, i didn't spot that, however from Consett bus station, if anyone wondering, here are the times -

45 - 12:01pm
46 - 12:21pm
45 - 12:31pm
46-  12:51pm

As services V7/V8 replace service X43, the corporate liveried Streetlite allocated to service X43 at present (5401) will be freed up and form part of the PVR of services 45/46. The aim of these changes is to make Stanley's network of services fast, frequent and reliable, and increased layover should increase the reliability of the 45/46 services.

This does mean that Stanley will be covering a much larger PVR with just one red Streetlite to the same specification as the branded vehicles, and I'd imagine services 8/78 would take priority over services 45/46 given that 5419 is branded for Beamish Museum which service 8 will serve.

If you look at it from a drivers point of view its not, in the morning you might do 2 round trips in the mornings i.e 45 con-ncl / 46 ncl-con-ncl / 45 ncl-con then break, however if your 10 mins late on the return to consett the next driver will be late out and the run is hard to get back on time, so by putting in the extra bus this keeps the service on time. Also is the V3/V4 timed to have a 10min frequency towards shotley bridge?
